Rumor has it james loses on Jeopardy
Holzhauer’s historic run come to an end made the rounds Sunday on social media.
|
SPOILER ALERT: Leaked video shows James Holzhauer's 32-day winning streak on Jeopardy! come to an end on Monday after professional gambler amassed $2,382,583 in prize money - falling short of Ken Jennings' $2.5M record
Leaked video of Monday's episode of Jeopardy! circulated on social media It shows James Holzhauer's 32-day winning streak come to an end Holzhauer failed to wager enough money in the Final Jeopardy! round Emma Boettcher defeated Holzhauer, which means he won't get all-time record Ken Jennings amassed a record $2.5million on Jeopardy! 15 years ago |
Let's not believe it until the show is aired. Have we not learned from other resent more important events with inaccurate news, some huge some small not to believe everything especially when reported like this or other shakey news sources.
I'll wait till it is reported In People Magazine or The Enquirer! Could you imagine having a conversation with this guy? He could out reply almost everyone on this Forum except One Person. Do you think it could be, Nah Impossible! LOL |
Unfortunately, the video has gone viral and Las Vegas has stopped taking bets.
|
The reports of my demise...are greatly exaggerated.
Thank you, James :1rotfl: |
Wish I had the chance to see the out come tonight instead of reading a spoiler alert
|
Shows are taped, so most likely true?
|
"Leaked video"
I feel that it would be in the best interest of the show to have it known that "James' last night is Monday, June 3". It is similar to the final show of a series. They will get a larger viewer audience because people have been waiting to see the night that someone actually beats him. If people didn't know and missed it, they would be very disappointed. Since it is taped, I am fairly certain that you will see James lose tonight to Emma.

Its true, video is all over the interweb

I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a wild guess...that it wasn't aimed at you. :D |
For once a rumor is correct. James appears to be the one who has enough.
|
It's official...James lost.
|
My other half thinks there is something fishy here. He is a gambler and he only bid $2K on his last answer, when he usually dropped a pile on the last answer. Maybe accepted a big pay off, or his own show !!! Stay tuned.

A proper bet. Sorry to ruin your conspiracy theory. |

I thought both James and Emma were very gracious. I think it unfortunate that it was leaked and the suspense spoiled. Cannot understand why someone felt the need to leak.
Anyway, congratulations to James. He sure made it fun. |

abc7chicago.com - ABC7 WLS Chicago and Chicago News
I recall that they showed Jeopardy at 3:30 PM weekdays in Chicagoland. |
Anyone else think he intentionally lost?
|
Yup Birdie Dreamer is correct- James explained his betting rationale in an interview.
|
Well, here's James' comment for those who think...he may have lost on purpose.
The most frequent explanation? The pro gambler had said his young daughter was anxiously awaiting his return, so he wanted to get home earlier. James Holzhauer reacts to fans''' '''Jeopardy''' conspiracy theories about him losing on purpose Quote:

Luck finely ran out with double jeopardy questions. He got the first one right off the bat , so no doubling up and Emma got the last two basilly wiping him out of leaders chance. Emma had to miss the final answer to loose, she didn’t, he didn’t escape this time. He did have couple close matches and won them. Not to worry he should be back for tournament of champions.. if he don’t triple up on his winnings and figure it not worth his time? He also answered more questions that Emma but couldn’t catch her.

I'm a little annoyed at Alex. He made some unnecessary skeptical remarks at the beginning on the show after James lost. It just felt a bit disrespectful to Emma.
Ok, so now we know she only lasted two more shows, but still. Not to be disrespectful to Alex but I think it's time for a new host. I saw him in a current interview, he sounded hopeful but didn't look so good. Hope the show runner is actively thinking about a new host. |
