Just wondered if anyone used peepers optical down by colony. Would like to get some good references before i go there

Yes, last month I had an eye exam and got 3 new pairs of glasses there. I like the doctor and his assistant and I felt I was very well taken care of, and am very pleased with my glasses.

Yes, my wife purchased glasses there. Excellant customer service.

They advertise that they have a lab on location. How long did you have to waite before you got your new glasses?

nope me not a peeping tom LOL Just tired of driving to ocala for glasses. Have been looking in the villages for a good place to go. Thanks for all of the info.

I used Peepers about a month ago...great customer service from Abraham! One of my lenses scratched pretty severely about a week after I got them. They replaced the lens and I have had no problems since...I highly recommend them!

The wife and I have recently made purchases. Fast and great customer service.

I had brought in an old pair of sunglasses that the lens had never fit properly in. They made new lenses with my new prescription, that worked out fantastic. I have been very pleased, and would definitely use them again.

They replaced a nose cushion on my glasses (purchased in NC) for free. Fast and friendly. Lens grinding equipment is visible through large glass windows from the front waiting area.

Based on what I learned here I decided to try Peepers.

Appointment at 12:30 today. Bifocals, transition, my frames. At 12:10 I forewarned Abraham I would be 15 minutes late. No problem.

Arrived only 10 minutes late. Waited a few minutes while Abraham was with another customer.

Completed new patient form then into exam room. Received a very thorough exam with lots of feedback.

Back to Abraham who measured old lens. Made appointment for 3:30.

Arrived at 3:25 and at about 3:50 I was out the door with my new glasses (lens).

Couldn't be more pleased. I'll go back as will my spouse.

BTW, I am just relating my experience. I don't make recommendations. Got burned a couple of times.

My experience with Peepers very similar to Downeaster above. Couldn't be more pleased.

What about cost
 

Do you think they were reasonable. I have those places that want to give you two for the price of one and it really is for the price of two. I only need one pair at a time.

I used them in 2011 for the first time. The glasses are fabulous. They are adjusted twice as well as any I've ever had and the lenses with scratch protection have not one scratch on them. This is unusual, I've never had glasses this long without some scratching. I highly recommend them. We have moved back home now and I wish there was one here in Massachusetts!!

what are the prices there like?? Curious because I may need new glasses soon!

I had my eyeglasses done with Peepers and I paid $400+. But that included frames and blended bi-focals. It all depends on the frames and what type of glass. There is no set price. The services was excellent. I had my glasses that same afternoon!!

I highly recommend them. My wife had a pair of glasses that were never adjusted right after many tries in CA. She happened to mention it while my exam was being done and they adjusted them perfectly first try.

I got a complete, professional exam and my glasses were ready the next day. No problems with them.

I just used Peepers for the first time. The staff there are very friendly, patient and professional. I definitely think you will pay more there than somewhere like Walmart Optical. But IMHO, you'll get a better product, and definitely excellent customer service. I'm now a big fan of Peepers.

I like Peepers very much . I have gotten new glasses next day.

Wife and I both got glasses from there in November. I would not hesitate to recommend them (and have) to everyone.

yes, I have used Peepers and fournd them efficient and reliable.

I recently used them (based in part on Villagers recommendations) and was very pleased. Good service, good eye exam, fast glasses production. Will continue to use their services.

And one might wonder what the "P" in Pturner stands for. :icon_wink:

they also use a much better grade of lens than does LensCrafters and most of the other quickie makers.

They are more tuned to getting it right the first time instead of just meeting the "one hour" deadline.

These folks are fabulous. They understand customer service and demonstrate it with every customer.

26 posts and not one negative comment about Peepers. Boy Howdy, it's good to see a business recognized for professionalism and good service. I agree with Billiethkid that their products are superior to the optical shops that offer discount prices.

My wife recently got her glasses there and she was very impressed with the quality of the glasses and the service.

Peepers is the only place to go. They are fast, reliable, much less expensive and beat the pants off the competition. I have used them on 3 different occassions and would not hesitate to go back when the need arises.
