Running Business out of Home
Problem solved.
|
I would read your covenant documents because it is probably not allowed. My covenant says, "No business of any kind shall be conducted on any residence with the exception of the business of Declarant and the transferees of Declarant in developing and selling all of the Homesites as provided herein." So, if your covenant includes this clause, you just need to file a complaint and the management office will stop it.

Thanks for the input. Will check our home records.

You can also download the deed restriction document for your area at this website.

Home business are not allowed per deed restrictions. However, it is considered an internal deed restriction and is not often enforced. Anyone who rents a room in their home using a service like AIRBNB, while living in the home, is violating a deed restriction.

As a buyer, turns me off completely
Just an FYI, I have been looking to purchase a home in TV and as part of my research with Google Maps one of the homes I looked at just north of 466 showed a business 4 doors away (for Window Tinting). As much as I liked the home, it turned me off even though the street view didn't show any commercial trucks etc and the business looked like a regular home. I don't know why Google maps elected to show this type of detail, but it does.
These sorts of things do have an impact beyond the visual, and can affect home values in the entire neighborhood. |

This may just be a business address and nothing more. Deliveries, pick-up, customers visiting for quotes, etc. is conducting a business. Jumping to conclusions...…………………... |
Please talk to your neighbor first to see what can be worked out before you go off to The Villages to complain.

Most sincere apologies. Not running business out of home. Have 5000 sf warehouse in Wildwood. Occasionally I stop home after work with truck. Holidays were a little hectic with family in town and too many vehicles for driveway. I will make sure to park truck in driveway in future on the rare occasion when I come by in truck. Thx for heads up. Don’t want to be a bother to anyone.

Problem resolved, most Villagers are great people.

Google information is outdated. Our neighborhood shows a business and the people moved years agol An Avon lady could be listed. You could try to Google the business to see how current the information is.

Eight years and this just started?
Have you considered or tried talking to this neighbor? Perhaps it is not what you think.
Is this a NEW resident on the block? I hope you can resolve this without incident. ☮ in 2020. |

Read the codes carefully. One cannot run a business IN their house. Implied meaning is have customers physically come to their home to conduct business .One CAN use their home for office needs for business conducted off site such as your neighbor as long as no actual business is conducted in the home.
