Inconsiderate Golfers
This goes out to the 3 ladies who checked in at Hilltop executive course today 1-10-2020 for a 11:50 tee time. Your rudeness by checking in and leaving without playing prevented others from enjoying a beautiful day of golf. I was your 4th so I watched it all. Instead I waited for 3 foursomes to play and was finally placed with another group of 3 and had a great day of golf.

It’s odd that all 3 chose not to play. Weather, sudden illness, or maybe spouse had an emergency
|
Sounds like a bondhead in the starter's shack.
|
Sounds like she had a choice of going out alone at her tee time or waiting for 3 foursomes until the next threesomes tee time Sucks, but it happens
|
 Well that certainly was a different 1st. post. :icon_wink: Wonder if the OP understands the Tee Time Point System. 1 point for playing and 3 points for a no-show. It does happen at times. :icon_wink:

Oh, okay. Didn't know she had a choice, I thought the starter was holding her. If she didn't want to wait..........play solo and hit a couple balls. |

No cancellation points doing it their way

Have played there many times, never any longer than other courses I have played in the villages.

They decided to go out to lunch at 11:50 then shopping but tell their husbands they were golfing. Happens all the time with many women doing this same game plan. You pegged it! They are very rude and inconsiderate. Sorry this happened to you.
|
3 points is no real penalty.
|
People do this all the time to avoid cancellation points. I think it is a considerate thing to do so any golf groups they are in won’t be penalized the next week and get shut out of tee times for having too many points.

As a former starter, this starter should not have teed them off on the computer, by doing that that the 3 "ladies" got 3 points each same as a no show. Yes rude!

I don't know how someone can say that they were prevented form playing when others decide not to play. Not choosing to play alone is just that, a choice made by you, not something forced on you.
I have played executive golf by myself many times. It's great. Play two balls off the tee. Extra putts. |
Other then the fact you probably didn't want to play by yourself, why didn't you just go out and play at the first assigned time? Yes they were rude but they also have the right to check in and not play especially if the weather was bad or 1 point day.

No, not the starters fault. They checked in walked back to their carts and rode off.
|
I waa referring to the 3 spots they wasted. If they had called and cancelled in the AM, people who call the shack for a tee time would have been able to play.

I agree. Too many points and you can’t get a tee time for a week.
|
Isn't it a woman's prerogative to change her mind at the last moment? I'm afraid I've been guilty of doing that, but I agree, it is very rude NOT to invite the 4th to go along to lunch with the three ladies who changed their minds at the last minute. Thanks for calling this to our attention, perhaps it will make a difference for many future golfers.

A threesome (+one) decides not to play because they can see groups on every hole? Like they would be playing that fast? Not sure about this take.
