At least they don't have to replace the cross arm this time!

I watched it long enough to see either the driver or passenger get out of the SUV using what appears to be a white walking stick, hopefully it was the passenger and not the driver.

Sad & Unfortunate.

Yes, I noticed that too. Too bad she didn't slice this time...

Luv2Bretired 01-13-2020 09:35 AM

According to the on line news wifey was driving and ticketed. They were squabbling about directions. Glad she didn’t hit a golf cart!

I will show this to my spouse and tell him, "SEE? This is what happens when you yell at me to take a left, when I'm trying to go straight. DO NOT DO THIS HONEY IT IS BAD."

New Englander 01-13-2020 10:11 AM

We would not want the poor lady to become a hooker, would we!:icon_wink:

Madelaine Amee 01-13-2020 10:54 AM

She would have better off just hitting him with his own walking stick and telling him to shut up! Now they face the bill for the damage, or will their insurance get that.

She would have been better off in the passenger seat, and so would the gate:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Glad everyone is okay.

Maybe that's what she was trying to do...

Unfortunately there are way to many kids today that allow their parents to travel to Florida unattended. These kids should be better children and and monitor their parents better and take their drivers license and vehicles when they no longer are capable of being safe drivers. Way too many of these no driving seniors down here.

You sound like a commercial, LOL. Was the driver so old that they shouldn’t been driving or do they know if they were texting. Well at least they stopped!

dougjb 01-14-2020 07:54 AM

Now that makes me feel real safe driving my golf cart around!

runkcrun 01-14-2020 08:07 AM

Still chuckling at the funny remarks. Thanks for a fun start to my day!

Grill Meister 01-14-2020 09:04 AM

All that because she couldn't locate her gate key?

Most, if not all states, have a system to re-test drivers that shouldn't be on the road. I'd suggest that any "person" who is concerned about a friend or family member's ability to operate a motor vehicle because of physical or mental limitations, to contact their local BMV, or state police to inquire about a retest. I believe you can remain anonymous. I realize driving is one of the last acts of being independent, but safety of others needs to be considered more than anything.

Might be time for her to hang it up before she kills or maims someone.

Lottoguy 01-14-2020 11:10 AM

Maybe there were unwanted sexual advance from one party to the other? Maybe the advance was accepted and it was the first time in years and the accident was from performance anxiety or maybe they were constipating the act when the collision occurred? Which one of them looked happier? I didn't see the entire video? Was anyone seen adjusting their knickers or drawers?

Just glad nobody was hurt except their wallet and feelings.

Consummating, I know. :1rotfl: It was a Yoke!

New Englander 01-14-2020 04:48 PM

Watching this video lets me know I am doing the right thing in not riding my bicycle any more.

Lottoguy 01-16-2020 10:12 AM

I didn't hear that story about a gate key?

Madelaine Amee 01-16-2020 03:19 PM

Most of us have enjoyed leaving smart alec comments about this thread, me included, but I was quite seriously thinking of the stress this woman must have been feeling when she took out the gate. I cannot imagine the tension in that vehicle at the time of the accident. It could be that they are fairly new to TV making the gate system more difficult, plus the gates are not all exactly alike, you come into my village through a single line traffic with no golf cart lane, the golf carts have a dedicated lane.

Bottom line - it's so easy to make fun when yu are not involved or do not know the whole story. I will add I think she was kind of smart to drive off the dividing area and onto the side of the road, I think I would have been stuck there in shock.:icon_wink:
