Costco

Does Costco in Orlando have toilet paper or are they out? Thinking about making a trip tomorrow.

billethkid 03-08-2020 02:24 PM

There was plenty at Publix on 466 last night.
And in a week or so the reorder supplies will be hitting the stores.
It is not as if it will not be available.

Call them and ask!

kcrazorbackfan 03-08-2020 07:15 PM

So, figuring in the costs to drive to Costco, is it really worth the effort to not drive to Publix, Winn Dixie, Walgreens, CVS, etc., etc., etc. and get your tp?

You would think Costco is giving away free drugs to the cult followers......

Really? LOL, why do you assume he's going JUST for TP and why would it be anyone's business but his?

Wait till the first case of Aye Corona hits here in TV (and it will sooner than later) and everyone goes into panic mode. You think the hurricane warnings cleans out the markets, you'll wish you went to Costco for TP. :D Start hording your "Daily Sun" because the happy news will finally be put good use. :1rotfl:

Yes. Stock up on toilet paper. That is the key to survival.

You've been here long enough now, you know what will be wiped out first in the store anytime there is any kind of disaster coming our way: beer, wine, liquor. Everything else is secondary.

Staples has toilet paper at a reasonable price. I got 2-24 roll packs. $14.99 each. They have other, higher priced as well.

theruizs 03-09-2020 05:18 AM

I agree with some reasonable planning, but we’ve been here 8 years and have never been unable to get what we need without hoarding supplies during hurricane scares. Has that really happened here at some point prior to that? Just curious. I would think at this age we would all be a little more rational and thoughtful of our neighbors.

Rwirish 03-09-2020 05:51 AM

Yes, it feels so good and soft.

Plenty. Was there Friday

noslices1 03-09-2020 06:07 AM

Water??? It’s NOT a hurricane or tornado. Nothing happening to the water supply. Toilet paper??? I don’t think diarrhea is a symptom of Corona Virus. Food? YES. Canned and frozen. Let’s not get crazy people.

I'm not getting the deal about the toilet paper. please 'plain

daca55 03-09-2020 07:59 AM

Went to Publix’s at Traverse Plaza yesterday and you would have thought the end of the world is upon us! Place was a zoo. There was a shortage on tissue boxes and a note in front of them saying only 2 per purchase. There was sanitary wipes at all, no rubbing alcohol and the whole display of disinfecting hand soap was almost gone. I didn’t go there for those things but couldn’t help noticing the empty shelves. What is going on? Are you worried about this virus? It appears the panic is starting right here in TV. One more thing there was plenty of toilet paper. I bought snacks for a neighborhood social and plenty of wine!

stan the man 03-09-2020 08:04 AM

Just wait ..... 1st virus death .... Hope it doesn't affect next year's rentals

davem4616 03-09-2020 08:17 AM

TP back up plan

should TP become hard to find in TV, our back up is an 8 foot rubber tree plant growing in our lanai

huge, huge leaves and plenty of them....only concern I have is that they may clog up the plumbing if they dry out....so we're stocking up on water to keep the plant alive

I was a boy scout and believe in being prepared

sktb888 03-09-2020 08:40 AM

Why don't you order online? It will arrive is a day or 2.

Duh, that’s right, call them & ask. How do we know how much or if they have any!

NancyLee 03-09-2020 09:17 AM

I am housebound currently. I got mine at Amazon Prime.

Can you imagine in medieval times when the plague struck, and entire towns were wiped out?
If only they had invented toilet tissue sooner, history could have been re-written!

retiredguy123 03-09-2020 09:58 AM

I just bought 12 rolls of Scott 1000, single ply, at the Publix in Colony Plaza.

ColdNoMore 03-09-2020 10:07 AM

Single ply?! :22yikes:

Why not just use the Happy Paper...it's probably softer.

I can't believe it people! This has happened so many times before, it's pitiful! "Storms are coming, better stock up" Not necessary, storms were minor. Remember the turn of the century..."Stock up on everything, the world as we know it will be coming to an end".....Nothing happened. And on, and on, and on it goes. And toilet paper! Like you could not survive without it....Wow, get a life! If I had to I would use loose leaf paper and a garden hose! Good Grief folks, get real.

Been eating too much Taco Bell?

EdFNJ 03-09-2020 10:19 AM

According to last night's TV (television) news Publix is now putting purchasing limits on disinfecting items: Publix sets purchase limits for supplies amid coronavirus

Toilet paper NOT included! :D :D

If the virus hits The Villages and there's a quarantine or shelter in place order given you'll wish you had stocked up on TP.. lol

For me, I stock up on water simply because I'm on a well. It's nothing new for this event.

billethkid 03-09-2020 12:31 PM

TP Alert!!!

Walgreens on Paar drive had no lack of supply of paper products.

Maybe those worried about toilet paper plan to use it to blow their nose
