Title of song playing on WVLG at 7:30 AM Monday March 9, 2020?

Anyone catch which song was playing between 7:30 to about 7:36 this morning on WVLG 630 AM?

Do they put up their daily play list on WVLG?

I am trying. I had my alarm set and it went off to the music of WVLG.

I had not heard that song in a while as I usually have 102.3 on my car radio. US102.3 - The Crossroads of Country and Rock - Gainesville / Ocala Radio

manaboutown 03-09-2020 06:48 PM

Hum a few bars. Someone will know it...

Looked at the Billboard history of number one hits in the US from 1958-1990 or so and NOTHING rang a bell.

I could e-mail them.

Koapaka 03-09-2020 10:01 PM

I know radio stations use to (and I assume still do) have to keep track of what played when, mostly related to commercial airtime. Hope they can help you

I e-mailed them. Then for good measure messaged them via their Facebook page.

This is fun

Nevinmann 03-10-2020 08:36 AM

There's an app, of course, Shazam that tells you the name of the song and the artist.

This might be it. To Be with You - Wikipedia

LiverpoolWalrus 03-10-2020 08:51 AM

I think it might've been In A Gadda Da Vida. They play that a lot.

Taltarzac725 03-10-2020 08:54 AM

Looks like it was "big" in February of 1992. Mr. Big with "To Be with You".

I had not gone up far enough in the Top 100 Billboard lists yesterday.

Taltarzac725 03-10-2020 09:15 AM

No response from WVLG yet. I did e-mail Ms. Kane. I am pretty sure this is what I heard yesterday though at 7:30 AM. I set my alarm and woke up to this playing. Let it run all the way to the end.

Jerry101 03-10-2020 10:37 AM

Call the station. They should be able to track it down. 352-750-9854

OlifOlif 03-10-2020 12:10 PM

I think it was the song that was once a theme title. Radio station WPDL used to play it often!

John_W 03-10-2020 02:52 PM

It's hard to be believe WVLG would play a song from Mr. Big and the 90's, but if you're not really sure. It's probably Hootie "Only Want to be With You" is more their style.

I recognize Hootie and the Blowfish immediately. He has a very distinctive voice.

Taltarzac725 03-10-2020 05:08 PM

Might have been "Heaven" by Warrant.

Taltarzac725 03-10-2020 06:51 PM

I am pretty sure I heard Mr. Big and "To Be with You".

I double-checked the station too and my alarm-radio is set to AM640.

Yung Dum 03-10-2020 08:41 PM

I Got You Babe by Sonny & Cher. They play it every morning.

WVLG | thevillagesdailysun.com

You should download and install the free app call “Shazam” on you smart cellphone. When you hear the song again, or any other song, you run Shazam. Then Shazam will listen to the song for about 10 seconds and identify the song and artist for you. You can then take a screen shot of your cellphone, and you won’t have to write down the song and artist information.

If Shazam doesn’t detect the song and artist name, then try having Shazam listen several times. Install and try using Shazam, and then you will be prepared to find out the name of songs and artists in the future.

I did hear it on Villages radio the other day. But, can't remember the time.

It's one of my all-time favorite tunes and at the request of a website visitor, have included it here

Think I would recognize all those songs listed right away.

Add SHAZAM app on your phone - It will immediately identify the title and singer

Too late for this one - maybe next one your miss

Mr. Big - To Be With You (MV) - YouTube

This sure sounds like the song my alarm clock-radio played to wake me up around 7:30 AM Monday morning. I had not heard it in years as I usually listen to 102.3 FM in the car. US102.3 - The Crossroads of Country and Rock - Gainesville / Ocala Radio

The alarm clock-radio is set to AM640. Mainly because that is the only station that comes in clear.

sipops 03-11-2020 02:32 PM

Can you hum a few bars.
