Daily Cruise

Well, got the Admiral to accompany on a cruise thru LSL. Yep, the local idiots were still congregating under the sunshade area adjacent to WVLG--but the topper today were a couple of teens playing with a football--obviously not Villagers

Teens, maybe there stuck In paradise?

jacksonbrown 03-31-2020 01:54 PM

I saw a dad and two pre-teen boys shooting hoops at Laurel Manor RC.

The sunshine and fresh air are good for them. They are probably are from the same household so social distancing rom each other is not that important. Plus, they will all have a better attitude! Sun and fresh air are real attitude adjusters.

Did having "the admiral" on board make it special?

Jaggy 03-31-2020 04:32 PM

even if people are 6 ft apart. they are sitting at the picnic tables and chairs - you don't know who sat there previously.. the virus stays on surfaces..

What's wrong with that if they're all the same family and nobody's going out otherwise?

Decadeofdave 03-31-2020 04:37 PM

I am appalled. Those kids know darn well they are supposed to be playing video games in the basement. Oh. No basements in TV. Sorry.

NotGolfer 03-31-2020 04:39 PM

Sumter County just sent out a post telling people to stay at home....unless it's for medical help, food or medications. People can go for walks (NOT playing ball etc) or biking. Whenever there's rules---"some" think they're to be broken and if told otherwise--to mind our own business. All fine and good til--------

The notice as I have read it gives "examples" of outdoor activities and which probably do not prevent family members from playing ball. Far too many posters are providing partial information AND their opinions. The declaration is attached.

The headline of the “news” email called it an order. Then the third paragraph of the article says this...

“In response to the spread, Sumter County commissioners have issued a stay-at-home advisory through April 30.”

So you go out every day just to look for something to get upset about?

Or, maybe he’s just trying to get people to take this seriously.
Are you watching the Press Conference?

seoulbrooks 03-31-2020 06:00 PM

Does the advisory allow golf cart rides to look for violations of the advisory????

I seriously doubt that him driving around the square everyday (with or without the Admiral) then coming here to report about it is going to change anyone's behavior.

I've decided to see just how far what food we do have stretches..Hopefully 30 days..After my Winn Dixie shopping experience Sunday I decided way to many idiots out there
2 woman were at meat cooler and decided to handle just about every package they could get their hands on .
Then I went to produce and same thing happened with a male....now there's equality..Some idiot decided he had to inspect every bag of onions
I bought my 2 steaks 4 ears of corn sanitized my hands on the way out.Put my packages in my golf cart sanitized again..
Arrived home put my food away washed yet again..meal option for next 30 days will be interesting may end up with peanut butter with pasta
I'll make it work...Not worth the risk

If they are cohabiting in the same house then what is wrong with shooting some hoops together to get some exercise. My wife and I sleep together, so we don’t worry about working in the yard and golfing together.

We wear disposable gloves at the grocery store. Put them on as soon as we get in and take them off to dispose of as soon as we exit.

So does that mean Chatbrat and other junior reporters are breaking the rules by taking their daily rides and reporting on all those other ignorant people ?? Or do they get a special dispensation for some reason ?
