Has anyone seen a PSA from the Morse family? I would imagine they would have "something" to say

Topspinmo 04-03-2020 10:18 AM

It’s vacation time.

Chatbrat 04-03-2020 10:25 AM

I checked around up north, none of the major developers have put out a PSA there:duck: either.

Sure it would. No matter what they would say, the usual complainers will have an opposite opinion.

Exactly what are they supposed to comment on? What does it matter if they say anything? It won't change or improve anything if they make a comment. They aren't elected officials, they have no power to enforce anything.

The Villages Community Development District has several informative newsletters that are sent via e-notification
to anyone who signs up.

I have received update notices frequently this week.

You can sign up for e-mail delivery at VCDD e-Notifications Sign Up

Why would they? They’re just citizens of the same country we live in.

My God, what more could possibly be said by anyone.

Da Family were shopping at Aldis yesterday, and Mr. Morse did say that everything was perfect, under control, and house sales would soon be booming again.
He was truly pi55ed off when he found out there were no toilet rolls again!

:welcome: Welcome Jane...... have you really been a member since Sept. 2016 and this is your 1st. post? Glad you got over being tongue tied.

Now to answer your question - No I haven't. I also haven't seen anything from the people that built any of our other homes. We bought our first home almost 45 years ago..... I'm still waiting for that S.O.B. to do a PSA. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

tophcfa 04-03-2020 11:48 AM

I am much more interested in getting the results of the PSA test to check on the health of my prostate.

fishon 04-03-2020 11:55 AM

Some people need a great deal of hand holding.

Prostate exam?
Count me out!

Also checked in PA, developers there haven't done a PSA either.

Seriously? More Morse bashing?

How many more of you simple simons need your hands held just to receive any more info being disseminated about this damn virus than what already is?

What in the hell more could The Developers say?

bmit16 04-04-2020 06:10 AM

What would you want them to say and why? No one listens to what everyone else is saying, so why do we need someone else making uneducated guesses about something they have no expertise in.

Maybe that’s why they closed the rec centers? People were stealing their toilet paper out of the bathrooms?
JUST KIDDING! Please don’t go to the essential gun shops and hire a hit man! After all, someone did ask the criminals to hold off for the time being and resume when it’s safe!:icon_wink::icon_wink:

vinricci 04-04-2020 06:25 AM

What does the condition of Mr. Morse's prostate have to do with our present problem?

TandHSTAR@AOL.com 04-04-2020 06:25 AM

Well said. Thank you. Not sure what people expect...

DanBrew 04-04-2020 06:55 AM

Queen of England?

Not to be nitpicky or anything, but she is the queen of the United Kingdom. She lives in England and is English, but the Scots take great offense to her being called the Queen of England. Now lets all go have a single malt.

Roberta Forcina 04-04-2020 07:01 AM

Sadly the Morse family will say nothing. I also think they were remiss in closing off many things from the start of this health crisis. They only seem to care about continual building and profits.

hardwick2112@yahoo.com 04-04-2020 07:17 AM

They continue to build south of SR44 like there was no tomorrow regardless of the health hazards of staff, subcontractors and US, village residents. Also, got a call from the warranty department with the Villages and they told us that effective immediately there will be no warranty repairs favoring sending subcontracts to start and finish new homes.

Agree. They are the developer, not our parents. They are not required to take care of us. We are adults...we take care of ourselves. We also don’t know what ‘deals’ they have made with the many businesses within The Villages. That’s their business..not ours.

Marathon Man 04-04-2020 07:29 AM

Why would anyone care what any of the Morse family has to say? You should instead be listening to those who have expert knowledge about the situation in which we find ourselves. I simply am puzzled why some people are so focused on"The Developer". They just built the place, they do not lead us.

Reminds me of a renter I had on HHI. She was elderly and rented every winter for 8-10 years for 3-4 months. There were situations in which she thought we should take care of her. That was not the case. We were the landlords, not the caregiver. Sadly, I had to tell her that I couldn’t rent to her the next year. She wanted/needed hand-holding and that was not something we could provide. Her daughter, a lawyer, even called begging us to keep her.

I do not believe this. Either you are mistaken or you are misinformed.

I watched the house we live in here go up. We also watched almost a dozen homes in the past be built. I can't think, right off the top of my head of any process that requires anyone to be closer than 12 feet.

Almost anything requiring warranty repair that I can think of would require people to come into your home, not good.

And..."THEY" are people building houses. I feel sure they are trying to keep people working and separated safely too. Who knows. I haven't met the owners ever. Their half brother lives down my street, but he rarely mingles. We have gone to one "state of the villages" gathering and it struck me then when "they" were all assembled, with their sisters and children and grandchildren, is that they were very smart country folks with good work ethics that have been successful. Nothing wrong with that.

The Morse family closed something? What did they close?

:ohdear: No.... what's sad is people who don't have a clue.

davem4616 04-04-2020 10:34 AM

A Psa from the developer??? Why???

All of the service providers in TV are issuing communications on what's happening/what's stopped/changed...the Daily Sun lists restaurants that are open for take out, church streaming, etc

this is one of those cases of no news is good news....ya wanna see if a store like Home Depot is open, visit their website

try to be a grown up...be independent

If you expect a daily report on whether trash is being picked up and at what time, get a life

Tune into Fox, they're covering the full daily briefings if you want an update

and please, don't look at the Morse family as your mommy & daddy

Perfectly stated. We’re in an adult community. Act like adults.

ts12755 04-04-2020 08:34 PM

Don't worry about the Morse family... it's time to let go of the teat... We're a big City now.

OrangeBlossomBaby 04-04-2020 09:45 PM

Here's a little note from the Morse Family that would have been nice to read, but was never written:

Quote:

To The Villages community:
Since our dear Harold Schwartz, father, grandfather, uncle, to the Morse Family founded The Villages back in (whatever year that was), we have been a community. We live in a beautiful development, sharing our trials and tribulations together. When one of us suffers, we all suffer. When one of us celebrates, we all celebrate.

Today, we endure the same restrictions you do, and we certainly share you anxiety and concerns. We will be praying for a speedy recovery for those stricken with COVID-19, and mourn the loss of those community members who have been taken by it. We urge everyone to heed the CDC's instructions for keeping as safe as possible.

The Morse Family considers the Villages as our own contribution to Paradise on Earth, and we want to see it flourish with happy, healthy active people. So please take care, and thank you for being a part of our lives.
That would've been nice.
