Me too!

New Englander 04-05-2020 01:47 PM

Yes, I am. We need it badly. My lawn is drinking it up.

DeanFL 04-05-2020 01:48 PM

...more like a drizzle, but we are happy for what we get. I wanted to go out on the driveway and do 'Dancing in the Rain"...

billethkid 04-05-2020 01:53 PM

Glad for what ever comes down to wash some of the pollen out of the air and off everything it has accumulated on.

How dare it rain when I wanted to play golf!
Steve

I love a rainy day. Feels quiet and soft.

Bjeanj 04-05-2020 05:06 PM

It was a dreary, cool wet day, and I LOVE it!

CFrance 04-05-2020 06:43 PM

I prefer a rainstorm, but this constant rain was nice, and the land could better soak up a gentle rainfall than a hard downpour.

I had the convertible out with the roof down all day yesterday Saturday, not a drop, guess it was a delayed reaction, fortunately I remembered to put the top up last night....

Is it not amazing how the simple things in life now seem so exceptional during these trying times. Let it rain!

prendymom 04-06-2020 05:05 AM

We are...it could rain for a week :)

M2inOR 04-06-2020 06:10 AM

We've been here full time since January. Yes there had been two times since where there was a short, night time heavy shower, the all day rain on Sunday was a nice respite from the heat and sun.

We opened all our windows to let in the cool, fresh air.

I noticed our neighbors gutter was overflowing and let him know. He had a birdcage installed a few months ago, and the contractor apparently didn't checkout the downspout -- no hole in the gutter to let the water drain into the downspout!

So, folks, that daytime rain was an opportunity to make sure your drainage systems were ok.

Yes I was really happy about the rain....I had just put in some tomato plants and basil the prior day

I played Jimmy Buffet's song about barefoot children playing in the rain all afternoon

dewilson58 04-06-2020 07:08 AM

Rain is a good thing.
