golf lessons at golf academy

Can someone please explain to me why golf lessons are still being offered at the golf academy? This is wrong on so many levels.

Because people are tired of their game sucking? The lessons are given outside on the private range, so what's the big deal?

So, please explain why "this" is so wrong on many levels?

Cause instructor is standing at least 6’ away to the side or back of student, otherwise he is going to get hit.

Please specify how many levels, what they are, and what is wrong with each of them.

Rwirish 04-09-2020 05:27 AM

Because some people need to improve their game?

stadry 04-09-2020 05:35 AM

golf lessons aren't free,,, those who give them probably need to eat & shelter,,, they are bartering their time for food & shelter

how does someone taking/giving golf lessons affect/diminish your life ?

Don’t see a problem as long as the instructor stays 6 feet away from the student. If you can play golf with other people as long as you stay 6 feet away, you can take a lesson also. Really don’t get your point?

TandHSTAR@AOL.com 04-09-2020 06:17 AM

This goes along with all the other things people are doing. The offer us there but no one is twisting their arm to attend.

fear? paranoia? sour grapes? You pick.

ladybugsmom 04-09-2020 06:41 AM

Agree. The paranoia is almost ridiculous. If people are scared, they need to just stay in their home.

okay, I think I see at least 10 of the levels of why this is wrong:

#1 - somebody is getting away with something that I don't approve of
#2 - the governor said stay at home and they're not obeying him...I'm telling!!!!!
#3 - where are the police when you need them...eating donuts again?
#4 - all golfers are silly and selfish people and should be shunned
#5 - I saw them doing it on a Sunday...The Lord's Day
#6 - there wasn't one minority among them and they were all men!!!!
#7 - there were thunderstorms forecasted....don't they know that it's dangerous to play outside during a thunderstorm
#8 - if they have extra time they could devote it to staffing a soup kitchen line or going shopping for a shut in
#9 - what if their spouse needed them for something...where are they, off playing again

and #10 - it bugs me to see people having fun when they should be home worrying like the rest of us

RDhot 04-09-2020 09:08 AM

Definitely not an essential business!

Scudder 04-09-2020 09:14 AM

I agree. The 10 reasons for not allowing a golf lesson is the best post in a long time

IN YOUR OPINION, but an opinion NOT shared by the governor.

sloanst 04-09-2020 09:46 AM

Happily its not your decision.

Taking golf lesson right now is a waste of money..
An instructor can not correct many faults by standing 6 feet away...

That is an outstanding list!

Tsego58 04-09-2020 03:18 PM

If someone is not against something we would all be board. I personally was playing golf 2 times a week. A stay at home order was put into place. So, I decided that was what was to be done for good reasons. Only go out for what was needed. I want to play golf but if I do someone has to be there to check me in and so forth. So if I don't play no big deal I am not doing it to provide for my family. I am doing it for fun and social relationships. I am very board and want to get out, but it will come and by doing my part I hope it helps. We all have to make choices and sacrifices hopefully we will make the right ones that count.

I think you were trying to be a comedian, but truthfully, have you ever seen a Police Officer in a donut shop? I was a State Trooper for 25 years and never went into ANYWHERE and ate donuts and neither did any of the other Troopers I worked with or was over during our shifts.

Do not generalize all LEO’s into your “attempting to be a comedian” statement.
