Try The Munsters or The Addams Family or The Golden Girls. That will keep you busy for a while. Adam-12 & Emergency. Good Luck!

Netflix

"The Assignment" with Sigourney Weaver and Tony Shalhoub (*****)
"Acts of Vengeance" with Antonio Banderas (****)

Two really good movies

ColdNoMore 04-21-2020 09:26 PM

Just a few suggestions...in no particular order.

Prime Video:

- All American
- Bosch
- Jack Ryan
- The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
- The Men Who Built America

Netflix:

- Wild Wild Country
- Dirty Money
- Mud
- Tiger King (of course :D)

ANY of the 20+ Ken Burns documentaries.

Growing up with only three networks (and a weird test pattern if you stayed up too late), it's almost unbelievable...the plethora of awesome things to watch/stream these days.

For some reason, I just keep watching "Groundhog Day" over and over and over and over and over.......

Chloe Girl 04-22-2020 05:19 AM

Watched a movie called "Greater" and also a series called McMillion$. Both very good.

coalminer 04-22-2020 05:21 AM

Try kodachrome

Nobody's fool

Ginsanders 04-22-2020 05:45 AM

We have loved watching Megan Boone, yes she is Jennifer Parr's daughter from right here in The Villages, as FBI agent Liz Keen on Blacklist. We went back on Netflix and started with season 1 and now watching it on NBC on Fridays. Excellent.
Longmire and Justified are good too.

riley2011 04-22-2020 05:59 AM

Holey Moley coming soon.

For adults, I highly recommend “The Green Book” set in the 60’s and based on reality or “Hidden Figures” about Black Mathematician in NASA the main character passed away in 2020, both of these are great movies

MIskra 04-22-2020 06:32 AM

Lego Masters

once you get those 'pipes' of yours humming you'll have a brand new hobby

you'll thank me....

your neighbors might not though

edp411@yahoo.com 04-22-2020 06:44 AM

Netflix

GaryKoca 04-22-2020 06:55 AM

Lots of good things on Netflix.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisal is a must
Schitts Creek is hysterical
If you like history, try The Last Czar and The Roman Empire
We just started Call the Midwife - 78 episodes to catch up. Great story but the British accents are a bit difficult to understand.

sktb888 04-22-2020 07:04 AM

2 - great series

Godless (mini series) and Ozark (3 seasons)...both on Netflix.

martgary1955 04-22-2020 07:32 AM

Truth is what matters!

LI SNOWBIRD 04-22-2020 07:48 AM

Taping lots of Shark Tank

Betty Wagner 04-22-2020 08:04 AM

What to watch

Good old movies, TCM. Musicals are always great and uplifiting, might find yourself danicing.
TV's The Deputy series quite good.

fdpaq0580 04-22-2020 08:09 AM

Sooo many possibilities

If you like old movies like I do, TCM is great. In between the movies there are often short subjects( musical bits, dance, travel, news reels and even cartoons ) that aren't listed in the guide.

Get a $50 Amazon Firestick and you have 1000's of TV series and movies and you will never run out of new things to watch. I recommend "New Tricks" a British series that will keep you laughing.

Boomer 04-22-2020 09:17 AM

Vice

and

Dark Waters

(We saw both of these at a theater, but it looks like they are on Amazon now, with a rental fee.)

Two nights ago, we rented The Current War on Amazon. It is about Edison, Westinghouse, and Tesla. Mr. Boomer liked it, but I fell asleep so I cannot give an opinion and now the rental time is up.

(I did not fall asleep because the movie was boring. I just plain old fell asleep — although the lighting in the beginning is dark, dark, dark. Don’t know if that was some artsy, symbolic thing, but whatever it was, I fell asleep.)

We have finished all the seasons of Taxi on Hulu. Louie and Jim Ignatowski are the best for laughs.

Thank you, OP, for starting this thread. We try to find something to watch every night, but we are running out of ideas, too.

Dlbonivich 04-22-2020 09:54 AM

Get a Netflix subscription and watch Outlander and Ozark

How about reading a good book.

NavyVet 04-22-2020 02:38 PM

Spouse is binge watching Dexter. Longmire, Grace & Frankie, Disjointed, Jack Ryan, Three Rivers all excellent.
I am still mourning the end of Hawaii Five-0. :-(

If you like British murder mysteries, and can stream the Acorn service, I recommend Midsomer Murder Mysteries and Brokenwood. That should keep you busy through mid-May.

You can buy the Kindle edition of "War and Peace" for only $1.99. When you finish, the coronavirus problem will be over. But, I'm reading "The Deserter" by Nelson DeMille.

thelegges 04-22-2020 05:48 PM

I sleep very little, I have amazon prime, and other streaming channels. Have pretty much watched almost everything. Since March I have I have either online or print read 26 books.

Walking, playing golf only takes up. Few hours a day. I knew when I watched all of LEGO Masters I really hit bottom. Hopefully things will start easing up and I can give my internet a break

OlifOlif 04-22-2020 06:20 PM

What about the programs airing on channel 21? Those are great options!

retiredguy123 04-22-2020 06:32 PM

Another option is Youtube. You can watch almost anything, such as bowling, poker, billiards, etc. Just do a search.

jimmio 04-23-2020 02:23 PM

"The Green Book" was excellent!
