Annoying little bugs
I think someone posted about this recently and I wanted to see if they would reply again as to what they used to treat annoying teeny tiny little bugs all over a kitchen counter. They're not ants the ant traps do not kill them. They're just little specks but they're everywhere anybody have any ideas.

You may want to Flea " Bomb " your home. I believe Lowes, Home Depot, Ace has them.
What you do is release it then leave for 2-3 hours. Take pet(s) with you. That should take care of the problem. I think what you have is No See Um's " Slang " name. Screens are useless because of their size. |
If they are fleas, I think they will hop around when you try to touch them.

I just use the cleaner for my bath tub, I spray the drains before I go to sleep. The bleach in the spray cleans the drains, no flies/fleas/moths whatever they are called and nice clean drains each morning. They are gone for weeks at a time then start coming back bit by bit and I do it again.

Get a bug buster in to look.

If you bomb the house make sure all electric is off and any device that has a pilot light is off
|
For those insects that fly around I spray them with water from my plant spritzer (you can add a bit of shampoo for more stickiness) until their wings get soaked and they fall, then I squish them. Works for most flying insects. I use water because I don’t want to hurt my lungs.

sounds like you have “no see um “ ants
|
I believe they’re called Ghost Ants. Deans didn’t have any difficulty dealing with them. They used little plastic ant traps with a jelly-like bait. I don’t believe Terro’s regular ant bait is effective against the ghost ants.

They are ghost ants. Lowe’s sells stuff to get rid of them.
|
these are ghost ants. they are seeking water. go to your local bug buster (not hd or lowes etc) and get the correct stuff to eliminate them. the home improvement stores don't carry the right stuff to deal with most bug problems
|
Could be sugar ants. They’re very tiny like a grain of sand. Check your sugar bowl and any other opened sources of sugar.

They are ghost ants, only a special pesticide works on them. Order on line, comes in a syringe.

Spray with Shout. I read about this online. Took care of our little bugs

There mind be Mites , there smaller then a pin head . I would recommend
Triazicide - Granules ( spectracide ) I had them and I do this every 2-3 month and shake the Granules all around the house outside . Never had a problem again . It takes care of all kinds of bugs. |
Terro will kill them.

Love Bugs
You treat them with time. 30-days from the first day of May and 30-days from the first day of September.
They are born in the ground, subsist, connect to reproduce and then die. There are hundreds to take the place of every one you kill. |
Dollar stores carry those bug bombs also. Some ride in on newspapers.
|
sugar ants- buy the traps in walmart- they carry it back to their nest and in a couple of days they are gone
|
Sugar ants. Need to call an exterminator.
|
Call Massey. I'm assuming you're talking about ghost ants on the counter top. They don't necessarily go for food, but they seem to go to moisture.
|
I wipe the area down with "Home Defense", no more bugs, etc.
|
Ghost ants and many times after a big rain fall they will also appear. Similar to Terro, is Protexall Ant Killer, but instead of traps it's a blue liquid. It's a small bottle at Publix for about $4. You can put it on a piece of paper, or directly on the floor, and ants will come out of nowhere and you see lots of them die right by the puddle. The ants will vanish in a few hours.

I live on the Historic side, and I too have seen those pesky little buggers.I also have had problems with fruit flies. At least I think they are fruit flies. They are tiny little things that fly around like crazy and seem to love the kitchen sink. Like you, I found that a squirt from my sink cleaner, which has bleach in it, will stop all these critters in their tracks, and it seems to keep them away, at least for some period of time.
|
If there’s hundreds of them and they look like tiny black specks that don’t move much, they could be psocids.otherwise known as booklice. Best get a company in to fumigate the room. Package up any books and check the bindings. That’s where they hang out. The guy who cleaned my kitchen reckoned that the eggs may have come in packets of dry beans, or flour. Soup mixes, that sort of thing. Now, whenever I bring that sort of packet into the house, I throw it in the freezer for a few days, to kill any eggs.
|
These are European crazy ants. A product as mentioned before called terro will control them. It will say it on the back of the package. Go to ace hardware speak to Tom if you need solid answers about taking care of anything around the house and yard.
