Lifestyle Preview Plan
Hi, everyone,
My wife and two children (8 & 7) are planning a trip to TV in April next year. My Mom, who just retired, asked us to check it out for her and we're also interested in TV for when we retire 10-15 yrs from now. We plan to stay for a week on the lifestyle preview plan, get the TV tour, talk to people, look at the housing areas etc. We'll also drive over to Disney and Sea World one or two days that week. Any advice? Anything we should definitly check out or avoid? Take care, Razor |
I think you might want to reverse your plans ...
I would visit Disney/Sea World and spend 1 or 2 days at TV (in which ever order you think is right for you ) Its at least an hours drive to the parks from TV TV has much to see for you guys but not all that much for the KIDS--except the family pool.. You can take the trolly ride around parts of TV (45 minutes to 1 hr) and visit the town squares in the evening. People are great and will answer all your questions and everyone is real friendly. TV sales people are accomodating but there is no real tour --you do most of the sight-seeing by yourself ---- This is just my opinion --thinking of how my kids were at 7 and 8 !!!! Dont miss visiting TV --because you wont want to leave Good Luck |
I agree. Concentrate on Disney.
Unless there is a set of grandparents here, there isn't that much for the kids. If you are a resident the kids can go to the fun camp they have going on. |
Hi Moving to Buttonwood in 3 weeks, just there and in six weeks the house is almost finished... it is like magic! if only the move we could blink our eyes and be there!

Thanks

So do you think two days at TV would be enough to see everything and get a feel for the place? Maybe we'll hit up TV for two days and then Disney/Sea world the rest of the week. RS |
Where are you located in Buttonwood? We have a lot on Beechers Path #20

I dont think they will let you do a lifestyle for less than 4 days but you can ask ----You will get a real feel for the place yes !!! -------- We have been there 3 times for 13days total and hardly scratched the surface --- You will enjoy the place --My comments were for the kids --they might get bored after 1 or 2 days --then move on to Disney/seaworld good luck-- |

I wasn't thinking about looking at retirement places when my children were seven and eight. I was thinking about surviving the day.:1rotfl:

I thought when we did the lifestyle preview that at least one of us had to be 55 or over.
Is that still true? |
