Who was George Floyd?
I just started to try to find out what I could about him and could not come up with very much although I imagine more will come out in the future. He was from the Houston area and had been in jail/imprisoned several times, going back at least to 1998. At least twice he had used a firearm committing a crime. The aggravated robbery for which he was imprisoned for five years is troubling, at least to me, although fortunately the victim was not shot. He moved to Minneapolis to get a fresh start in 2007. From what the News Media has been say he was a "good-guy"...

I'd read that he was *charged* with possession and another crime back in 1998, but there is no mention of him being convicted with either of those incidents. The only conviction I've seen was the armed robbery, with no shots fired, and that was in 2008 (the conviction came in 2009), and he only had to serve 4 of his 5 year sentence. There had been no incidents mentioned between 1998 and 2008, and no incidents mentioned between 2009 and last week.
Definitely not what you'd call a "model citizen" but it looked like he was sincerely trying to improve his life legitimately, getting a job, which ended only because the restaurant he worked at had to close due to COVID-19. Not because of anything he'd done. And - everyone who was interviewed who worked with him and knew him recently felt he was a hard worker, eager to improve his lot in life, and not prone to violence. As for the actual reason he was arrested last week - there was no indication that he knew in advance he was "passing" a $20 bill. We'll never know if he knew that it was fake now, because he's dead, and can't admit to it or deny it anymore. |

At a rate of 2-1/2 times as many...as a matter of fact. Some folks want to trick you based on pure numbers, not taking into account blacks make up a much smaller %...of the total population. They're sneaky liars like that. To show it's already been proved once. :ho: Click Here Total numbers mean absolutely nothing, unless the sole, sneaky intent...is to obfuscate and deceive. Per 100,000 is a much more accurate measurement. Imbalance by ethnic group (poke here) Quote:

Nice try, but where did that phony, homemade graph...even come from? One only has to look in the address bar to see...it is NOT directly from "Bureau of Justice Statistics." Here is the lying site...that the phony graph came from. Conservative Review - Media Bias/Fact Check And here is a fact check on that highly biased site. Quote:
Here is the REAL "Bureau of Justice Statistics" government site. Now go find a phony, homemade graph like the one you linked...anywhere on the REAL site. :ohdear: Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) Now click on the first link and go to Page 10 of Criminal Victimization, 2018...and here's the truth. Rates based on per 1,000 people. |

“Do you know that Negroes are 10 percent of the population of St. Louis and are responsible for 58% of its crimes? We’ve got to face that. And we’ve got to do something about our moral standards,” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. told a congregation in 1961. “We know that there are many things wrong in the white world, but there are many things wrong in the black world, too. We can’t keep on blaming the white man. There are things we must do for ourselves.” |
A "model citizen" with fentanyl and meth in his system at time of death??

I'm not defending what the officer did but I would point out that we don't have all of the facts. There are reports about what happened prior to the video that we see that we have seen that may change things. One of the things about him yelling that he couldn't breathe is that suspects often say that when being subdued. I think that police are trained to ignore it because if a person is yelling, he's breathing. If a person truly cannot breathe then cannot vocalize. We may disagree on a lot of things, but hopefully, we can agree on this: https://i.imgur.com/7jmDuTX.png |

Who was George Floyd?
Apparently a former armed robber and ex con who was turning over a new leaf by using fentanyl and meth while passing out counterfeit twenties. |
These are the people who have usually suffered injustices along the way. When someone gets involved in drug usage things usually just get worse unless something happens where they can turn their life around. This type of generalization as the same as people saying all cops are violent or all old people are a certain way. Each person needs to be seen as an individual.

It is interesting that people are looking at the victim here. The report did not say he was high on these drugs. It said they were in his system! It doesn’t matter because he was killed by a cop who put his knee on his neck for 9 minutes and was cuffed and not resisting. There is no excuse for that!

Attachment 84403 A retired St. Louis police captain who became a small-town police chief was killed by people who broke into a pawn shop after protests turned violent, authorities said. David Dorn, 77, was found dead on the sidewalk in front of Lee's Pawn & Jewelry about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. No arrests have been made. The shooting and theft apparently was posted on Facebook Live, but the video has since been taken down Former St. Louis County police Chief Tim Fitch knew Dorn for 30 years and said they became close friends when Dorn and his wife were leading the St. Louis police department's Explorers program for young people interested in law enforcement careers, while Fitch was leading the county's program. "He was very dedicated to youth, especially disadvantaged youth," said Fitch, who led the St. Louis County Police Department from 2009 to 2014. "He wanted to see them succeed. He wanted to be a role model for those young men and women to go into law enforcement." David Dorn, retired St. Louis police captain, killed in unrest sparked by George Floyd death - CBS News |

What we know is that he was a criminal committing another criminal act using counterfeit money who would have never come in contact with the police if he was a law abiding citizen. The media needs to quit making this guy look like good person who wan an upstanding citizen. Should he have been murdered, absolutely not. Should he have obeyed the law, absolutely.

I guess it just goes to prove that "Some Black Lives Matter." It is absolutely disgusting that we don't see outrage over what happened to this man who was murdered by the rabid animals who are allowed to roam the streets. This Floyd character was a life long criminal and contributed nothing to society. Mr Dorn dedicated his life to law and order and was an innocent person brutally murdered for no good reason. This whole BLM BS is an abomination to what is right and wrong in this country.
|
I hope someone is doing this in depth research on Floyd’s murders.
