Sources for developing 35mm film
We have discovered several rolls of Kodak 'advantix' film (not 35 mm) from long ago that, from the indicators on the canisters, have yet to be developed. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of a source that will develop our film and return either hard copy prints or JPG's? The big box retailers and drug stores don't seem to be in the business any more. Thanks in advance for the benefits of your experience.

wow....this may like looking for a needle in a haystack
no first hand experience, as we switched from film decades ago....however if it were me, I'd get in touch with Kodak HQ...they may know of someone that still does it |
Kodak 'advantix' film
A quick Google search for "Kodak 'advantix' film" pops up a number of firms who claim to be able to process this into either prints or digital image files. Unfortunately they all require you to mail in your film, and I haven't dealt with any of them and so can't make any recommendations. Good luck though.

They should be able to answer your question. |
These three Walgreens indicate they have a photo lab, and even if they don't, they can send it out to a third party and have back in 3 to 5 days.

Thanks John:) |
Years ago there was a firm, Seattle Film Works that I used for years with excellent results, if this is one of the mail-in firms I would trust them.

I recently found several rolls of exposed 125 film and one 35mm Ektachrome roll, and found a company on the West Coast, The Darkroom, to develop it. It was very expensive and most of the film was beyond saving, but they got it done in a couple weeks. Check thedarkroom.com for details.

35 mm film developers
I just had 42 rolls of 35 mm film canisters development at CVS. I did exhaustive research and it was easy as ever.

Last year we developed several old rolls from 18 years ago. Walgreens has a service they use and you can get prints. Not cheap, but all photos were clear and good color, amazing!

Went to safari on I phone found 3 places. Whenever I’m looking for something I just aske where I can find it near villages

Upon checking with them, they don't even have the envelopes to submit the film for processing.

Film that has been exposed has a expiration. It’s based upon conditions it was stored. If it was exposed to high temperatures humidity chances are it will be fogged. If that is the case images will not be ideal. But if there are memories on them from decades ago it might be worth a try. http://https://www.cvs.com/photo/film-processing. The link is to CVS Photo they do film processing.

Contact Kodak in Rochester.

Walgreens on Burnsed Blvd has processed for me in the past 30 days. Walmart has a drop box too but service is not as fast. Personally I think film gives better pictures but that day is gone.

Yes, there is at least one TheVillagesPhotoClub.org. Under contact, you can send your question/request. Richard Kozak was president 2018-2019. Also John Spoltore is a photography teacher in TV, and he may have leads/info that would help. His name is John Spoltore (folks call him Swede) His ctc info is 352 661 3615 or swedephoto.com

CVS doesn't have the envelopes required to submit the film for processing and don't know if/when they'll get more.

I have 2 rolls. Often wonder what is on them?
