Yes, the report was published right after Nike announced Kapernick signing. Their shares fell that day. If you think Nike's value is up 26 billion because of Kapernick, you need to call his agent because a whole bunch of people are getting paid more by Nike.

An excellent example of correlation is not causation.

If CK was responsible for a 26 billion dollar rise, why is he only paid $5 million per year while Michael Jordan got paid $185 million by Nike last year? Endorsements are calculated by the amount of merchandise moved. So Jordan is worth 37 Kapernicks and there are many others with Nike who get paid way more than Kapernick.

My reactions were:

1) they don't matter in Chicago apparently.
