For Democrats

This is a great site to help you get things moving for November and beyond.

Here's one of the parts I love about the "permanent campaign." Just in case you haven't had time to educate yourself about the issues, Organizing for America will actually give members scripted things to say to disrupt a conversation when they call into conservative talk radio shows.

And then members are suppose to report back to the "organization," OFA, with how the disruption went. And if you can't get through on one of the conservative talk shows suggested by Obama, they have a link to "give me another show" to disrupt with the Obama machine's scripts. Beautiful. That's free thinking at it's finest.

Here's some additional information about the "permanent campaign."

Race all the time

Hollow democrats play race card all the time.

Republicans-party of individualism.

Question: Perpetual Campaign?

Answer: What you do when you do not know how to lead.

Guest 08-02-2010 07:50 AM

How did you find fault with my post. I only wanted to pass on a site: You could do the same without making yourself look foolish.

Republicans on this site have called Obama everything but the N word and would use that if they thought it would be received OK by their fellow Republicans. Of course not all or even most Republicans are not racist, but given both parties, they are in fact the most racist of the two primary parties. Being white, I constantly hear racial comments about Obama. If you don't agree with this statement, you are stupid or flat out lying. Fortunately, only the same 5 or 6 radicals on this site continue to spew hate.

Pat and Bucco. Don't be afraid to agree or disagree. I have Republican friends that say they hate it, but know that many republicans are very down on any minority.

MY POINT IS SIMPLY THAT I KNOW THAT REPUBLICANS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE PREJUDICE THAN DEMOCRATS.

Agree with it or disagree with it or shut up. Don't change the subject.

Well bucco, can I that as a Disagree. I agree with you that it is repulsive, but don't think me rude or crude for stating the truth. If you really believe that many Republicans are not prejudice, then you are sadly mistaken. After reading lots of your posts, I think you know that I am right..

I was born at night but not last night. If you want to get me to say something you can ridicule, just ask me. I will tell you straight up how I feel. I am constantly getting my point or subject changed when all I want is a direct up or down vote.

I put out the post on Mark Williams and no one on here was interested in the Tea Party firing one of there own due to his racist remarks. Y'all simply do not want to entertain anything outside your own little talking points. One person even said they never heard of him.

This morning the Obama website gives a live link to listen to the Focus on the Family Christian radio program. The site encourages callers to phone the program, which focuses on conservative Christian based family values, and make some of the following points on air:

"-It's outrageous that Rep. Joe Barton, the top Republican on the committee overseeing the oil spill and its aftermath, delivered a personal apology to BP -- and that other Republicans echoed his call.
-BP has a responsibility to those whose lives and livelihoods have been devastated by the oil spill. The $20 billion fund is a major victory for the people of the Gulf and a big step toward helping families and businesses get back on their feet and recover from this disaster.
-Rep. Joe Barton and Republicans like him don’t understand that the real tragedy is what’s happening to the people in the Gulf Coast. Instead they are big oil's strongest allies, receiving thousands of dollars in campaign donations from the oil and gas industry. Barton himself has received more than $100,000 from industry this cycle.
-While the Administration continues holding BP’s feet to the fire and oversees efforts to counter the oil spill, the President has said Democrats and Republicans must come together to pass comprehensive energy legislation that ensures this kind of environmental crisis never happens again.
Barton should apologize to the people of the Gulf and he should step down as the highest-ranking Republican on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. And every other Congressional Republicans should repudiate his comments."

Does anyone else find this strategy interesting?

Okay, so if the airwave campaign isn't interesting, maybe this one from Lou Card's website will get your attention.

"President Obama turns 49 on August 4, and OFA supporters will be sharing in the fun.

Volunteers nationwide will hold birthday parties and use the occasion to recruit new OFA volunteers. Each new volunteer will help get more first-time 2008 voters back to the polls in November. And with so much more on our agenda, and tight races from Florida to Alaska, we don't have a moment to lose.

Use the map below to find a President’s Birthday Event near you."

To those of you who are posting on this forum and calling people RACISTS !!!

That is a very serious charge, not to be taken lightly !

PLEASE copy and paste those comments made on this forum from whatever date that you used to come to this conclusion that we on here are racist !

In the interest of common decency, please post whatever information you have to substantiate your very serious charges !

If you cant or wont do this, you are simply race baiting, and there are not many more serious charges that could be used against you.

Political debate is fine and a good thing.....bringing race into this area where it has never been is deplorable.

You cannot just SAY THINGS. YOU are responsible for your words !

Oh.....really? Lou, perhaps you will share your unbiased insight into this recent revelation from one of your own Democratic loyals.

Mary Frances Berry, is the former chairwoman of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. She was appointed by Bill Clinton. She also has the distinction of being a past president of the Organization of American Historians. That organization is the leading professional organization for historians of the United States.

Lou, her remarks are on our topic and very revealing. She said,

“Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness.”

R. Dozier Gray, a member of the conservative black group Project 21 put it in a statement about Berry’s remarks:

“This willful and purposeful use of the race card for nothing more than political gain is toxic to race relations, and Mary Frances Berry must know that. But she evidently does not care. Based on her comment, political posturing takes primacy over whatever real issues regarding race that she might pretend are her calling cards. I have seen this all before. I find it shameful.”

.....and the Democratic party's exploitation of race and black Americans continues........cabo35

It's just part of their MO Yoda in this new information age. They are working to get their Progressive agenda that will change America to socialist passed and all the facts or discussions be damned.

The powers that be hold conferences, like the Netroots Nation conference recently held in Nevada. These are Obama's ground troops. They teach how to disrupt and keep the focus off facts, from the bottom up. They teach how to attach themselves to sites like this, make calls to conservative radio stations, disrupt town hall meetings, put signage on freeways, tweeter and tweat and turn everything around and make anyone who questions anything they say or do look like a racist and elitist who hates babies, the elderly, the military and poor people.

The amazing thing to me is how people fall for their tactics and are sheep in their organization without thinking for themselves.

Hmmmm......something seems illogical and inconsistent about your response. You clearly said, "Yes we are the party of racial equality" Can racial equality coexist with racial exploitation?

Perhaps you are just ducking an engagement on the issues and points cited in the context of the Berry/Gray post. Perhaps some of your like minded supporters would like to engage in healthy debate and dialog on point.

Proof: Yoda, this is not rocket science. The Sun is the source of the Heat on earth. No need for further discussion on that topic.

Republicans are more likely to be prejudice than Democrats.

That statement is as obvious as the sun comment. No need for any analysis of the facts of the obvious. If you can't admit at least to yourself that this is a true statement, then you and I have nothing to discuss. If; however, you step up to the plate with honesty, then we can go forward. Are you getting any of my intent here? I have no animosity toward Republicans for their views, just don't agree with them. Most people that are prejudice have something in their past that caused it. I wish everyone could work past it, but I am not here to call them out.

Guest 08-02-2010 10:07 AM

I have stayed on-point with my posts trying to discuss your post about the progressive Organizing for America group. It is useless.

But you know Lou Card, you may have a point with the racist thing. You said you voted Republican for 40 years before turning Democrat during the last national election. If others like you in the Rupublican Party would follow your suit and get out, the Republican Party could rid themselves of all racists.

Guest 08-02-2010 10:08 AM

Eliminate the four (always in there) posters that use agitation rather than discussion and this post could have been beneficial to many. Now, its just a group of radicals trying their best to get me to say something they can use against me. No merit to that at all.

I could post that God is great and I would be slammed for that.

How can I be removed 100% from this TOTV site?

I want to go out and come back in as a good Republican just to show that it is possible.
