Talk about shooting yourself in the foot
Dr. Birx said that 70 COVID-19 testing sites were destroyed by the "protests."
Dr. Birx Says George Floyd Protests Have Resulted in the Destruction of 70 Covid-19 Testing Sites | National Review |

As the old saying goes, cannot fix stupid. |
I'm trying really hard to stay neutral and support these protestors...but they are really stretching it with all the damage that they are doing, for what damn reason???? It's their own damn neighborhoods that they are trashing
|
That behavior does not surprise me. Stupid cannot be fixed. That it has been allowed by government to run rampant and violent for so long does. Again, stupid cannot be fixed.
|
I do not understand why the local govt's are allowing the destruction and criminality to continue

Federal/state/local leadership will no longer do anything that MIGHT offend anybody. The usual position is to wait and it will go away. This time....maybe not. At least not until the silent major stands up and demands enough is enough. |

Haha good luck finding a place to be tested here, even my 2 doctors could not get tests !! The numbers reported are full of very horrifying inaccuracies .
|
Excuse me . So protestors and rioters are one in the same ? Just the fact that all pandemic rules were not followed is similar to committing murder ? Isn’t that what we where told ?
|
If the media started covering the peaceful protests instead of the riots we might feel better about things. But that is boring news so it doesn't make it. The media could change the whole tenure of a story if they cared to. Bad behavior makes headlines. Have you ever read a story about it being a beautiful sunny day? Nah...

The arrests being made by the police in the areas where places have been destroyed including the police station and in KY are young white males affiliated with the White Nationalist terrorist. You have not point.

It’s amazing how easily people are swayed by media with a bias. The headline said testing sites were destroyed by protestors. They were not destroyed by protestors—they were destroyed by rioters. The vast majority of protestors do not riot, but it doesn’t fit their agenda of demonizing the protests to put it that way.
If this story made you angry and hate the protests even more, you’ve been conned. |
They’re not stupid there savages

Local testing is available

You don't need to be symptomatic and don't need permission from your primary care physician. Cost is covered by most types of health insurance, including Medicare, and the copay likely covered by your Medicare supplement. You can just walk in, but if you have active symptoms they want you to call ahead 888-693-2340. But you can still get tested. I was tested on a recent Saturday and got the results the following Tuesday (thankfully, no evidence I had been exposed to the virus). |
Key is to understand what black lives mater and antifa are really about It isn’t about? Follow the money trail. There’s your answer. It’s about destroying our country

Yeah, I get it. "They" are "stupid", "violent" etc. I don't believe that most protesters are either of those. Some of the violence is coming from agitators, criminals and thugs. A few protesters get caught up in the heat of protesting. A few protesters get an adrenaline rush joining in on looting. I've seem protesters chasing off these bad people and protecting people and property.
I'm not defending anyone and I do see the violence as deplorable behavior. I also see the pain. I don't have any statistics to support my opinions and I could be wrong. Just my observation. |

I recently responded to an email from a left leaning friend who made the statement, "ALL police are crooks and thugs". My response back was that I stopped reading whatever they had to say when I read that statement. That is equivalent to stating that all black people are rioters and looters. This sort of thinking is what is contributing to the problem. This is an example of an emotional response, on both sides of the equation, to a miniscule percentage of the population. When injustice happens, deal with it swiftly and put an immediate end to that injustice. Unfortunately, or justice system and our mass media don't operate that way. As a result, a fire is fueled that doesn't need to be.
|
The droves are owned by the media and are being Spoon fed the media’s opinion of what they want them to believe!!! Gone are the days of reporting the news and allowing g people to form their own opinion or even fact checking!!! And we wonder who the great divider is of our county......I personally believe it’s the media! I quit watching mainstream media a long time ago, they are nothing more than a glorified talk show of their own opinion.

Consider the other side of that: Intelligence, deliberation, responsibility (to oneself and their community), logic, education, stable families. All those things are ignored in raising kids in our "underserved" communities. Fixing things from the inside is taboo. Even addressing the subject is politically incorrect. Outside factors are always blamed: bad cops, discrimination, insufficient hand outs, not enough free housing. Elected officials don't have the courage to take on the difficult root causes and the cycle continues. I grieve for our country. I hope that the silver lining of the canonization of St. George will ultimately shine some light on the root causes and why the affected communities refuse to address them. |
Protesters, even those who live in the neighborhoods, have no buy in to the destroyed business. They do not own anything. They have no pride in what moves in to the neighborhood.
Having been oppressed for so long they just don’t care. Maybe community involvement in the neighborhood and businesses would help? |
Protesting peaceably for what one believes in should be embraced
Destruction stealing and causing bodily harm under the pretense of protesting should dealt with harshly and swiftly |
I really don’t think they are protesting in the areas that they live. Some are not even residents.
|
Don't these people ever work?
|
Obviously Covid-19 is no longer a threat. If it were, the President, Congress, Governors and local politicians would be doing something to "save" lives. Instead all you see and hear is how the have right, and they do, even in the event of a breaking Covid-19 protection laws. They are highjacked by Antifa and other violent groups that destroy and even worst the statistics don't support the cause. Who cares they are angry and all of American needs to bow to their madness. We have a new fear, riots and destructions, all lives matter.

As I watched George Floyd's brother testify before Congress yesterday, I could not help but be effected. The man just buried his brother and how he managed to be so eloquent in his plea to the Representatives was truly inspiring. It is time to stop denying African American people their humanity. |

Are you upset that protesters and rioters are being lumped together ? So 1 police Officer acts improper and 800,000 are considered racists. That doesn’t reek too strong if hypocracy.
FYI, nationally blacks make up 12.2% of law enforcement and are 13% of the population. That’s a pretty close reflection if society. No one disagrees that Chauvin was wrong and should go to jail but to say he represents all cops even though they denounce him is pretty ignorant. |

Terrorism
Quote:
Here are a few examples of non-Muslim terrorists: April 6, 2005, sentencing of Matthew Hale, leader of the white supremacist Creativity Movement, to 40 years in prison for solicitation of violence and obstruction of justice; August 30, 2005, sentencing of white supremacist Sean Michael Gillespie to 39 years for the synagogue firebombing in Oklahoma City; and who can forget Timothy McVeigh? 168 dead, 680 injured. Closer to home: On August 22, 2002, police in Pinellas County, Florida, responded to a domestic dispute detained Robert J. Goldstein after finding numerous weapons and explosives and a “mission statement” threatening to attack Islamic facilities in the United States. Ali Gomaa, former Grand Mufti of Egypt, stated not only for Islam but in general: "Terrorism cannot be born of religion. Terrorism is the product of corrupt minds, hardened hearts, and arrogant egos, and corruption, destruction, and arrogance are unknown to the heart attached to the divine." |
