How many of these type scumbags are using the cover of peaceful protests, to foment their racism through violence, so that some folks...will blame ALL peaceful protestors?

Here's hoping that the police can discover and apprehend ALL of those who are doing the looting and violence...including these types. :ho:

I am not a marcher. I think it is a waste of time. Peaceful marchers are almost an oxymoron. Most people get self righteous-er and more angry and that doesn't help anything. What usually divides us? Is it color? Or is it something else? Now people are getting all mean and judgmental toward people who are white and accuse them of "systemic racism." I bet you a dollar a lot of hands would go up behind computers reading this, if I asked if you went to see just WHAT "systemic racism" is. Most of us want to be good people. Most people are not haters of other races. Most of us who are older are trying to keep our hearts and minds open. Most of us consider all arguments. One of the worst things that can happen to humans is to think they know better than others what is right.

I haven't ever in my life heard of a Boogaloo. Has anyone else reading this? I know not one soul in my eighty years who would ever consider KKK people anything but criminals.

Those who did it so that you, as a female, could have the right to vote...would totally disagree. :oops:

There is not one of us who are innocent. Some have larger groups of friends. Maybe that is the reason for "tribes". I am just trying to think...........Maybe what our parents taught us as little children is what guides us in some way forever, or didn't teach us. Maybe it is a genetic thing that makes us choose certain things and people and distance ourselves from others. Every woman in our family is a strong woman and none of them have married men who didn't like strong women. The men are strong themselves and kind. This goes back to our great grandmother. If voting for women hadn't been made a law, our granddaughter would have been working on it, just like those other gals before her. She is a brilliant woman with the gift of words.....and patience. I think she has found a good partner. That makes it all the nicer.

Ignoring those people who think they already know it all and refuse to do any meaningful research, others will instead want to keep learning/increasing their knowledge...by constantly seeking (through a variety of legitimate sources) to keep up with what is really happening.

Those are the folks who are not surprised...these groups exist.

That is surprising. To me. But things have changed in all sorts of ways. Younger people have not as much respect for the military as older people. We lived/live in different times and have different criteria for what is considered a hero.

I think for some the absence of a bad record is an honorable thing, and for others to achieve something mankind was lacking or needed brings honor. For others raising children who are responsible and kind and do not burden anyone unnecessarily are heroes and heroines. I have not met many heroes, but I knew they were real heroes when I met them. Some have had disabilities and some have had superior abilities. Some are unknown to the big world but only known and cherished by a select few. Some of my heroes have died. (way too many and too often anymore) I look forward to meeting more heroes before I leave.

That will be difficult for the defunded police to do. Perhaps a social worker can have a talk with the scumbags?

Guess it depends on how you wish to define "defund". Most understand,,,,some find it convenient to be literal on this subject, but general and non specific on others.

Can you please stop reducing the font sizes in your posts? Sometimes they are ridiculously difficult to read! Pretty please?? The weird color combos don't exactly help either...

I don't reduce ANY fonts.

I'm not even sure how you could go below the default size (1).

I either leave them as they are set up under the default of TOTV (1) for me...or I make them larger (2-5). :ho:

It doesn't appear that the default size is (1) for anyone else. This is (4) - my & most others' apparent default. This is (3) This is (2) and this is (1) which much of you posts appear in. Not trying to argue, just asking if you could make what you post more readable for many of us! Thanks!

I wrote the TOTV Team to ask them to look into the settings on my account, because there have been a few people that have said the same thing.

That one was purposely colored green to blend in and be hard to read...other than the larger dark orange. :D

Many people just make the portion of the quote they want to address a larger font. It seems to work well for everyone else. They seem to get it.

Why would you be surprised. Having served for 26 years in the military, our soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen are just a cross section of the American public. They are no more noble or saintly than most.

Adult bullying seems to come out whenever there is something big in the news. It was rampant against companies who supported Trump before the election, it was ramped way up for the 'Me Too' movement, and now for anyone who says anything controversial in the slightest about the current rage. I see it criticized in the news all the time when it's children, but it seems to be the thing to do as an adult.

I agree with everything you said Graciegirl but I think we could really ease the tension if we could get the big trouble makers out of there. The trouble makers are the one throwing objects, standing face to face with police, starting fires & looting. The peaceful one as you see on TV are standing way back & trying to keep from getting their heads busted open. Get the trouble makers out of there & put them in jail & the peaceful ones will go home or make peace. I know everyone here are just making opinions because if we had all the answers we wouldn’t be here making comments they would be calling us for help. Also we wouldn’t be having other comments putting us down. You did make a lot of sense in your comment, thank you! Don’t be to hard on me about my opinion!

An interim great post about the ease of reading someone's post because of color and size are slammed dunked with and in your face with a no way. Instead of being cooperative and easy-going and nice. Its never gonna happen as this request has been asked for several years.

Referencing Boogaloo in a post is clearly Political and not allowed under the properly fonted and re-reminded most broken rule on the Forum. I never heard of the word either. I am shocked that the rules of the Forum are again not followed by certain posters.

Boogaloo has been in the news (ptint version) for months (actually about a year). The coalition they represent has appeared at many gun rallies. They also support the spreading of conspiracy theories

If you read the beliefs, and they are scattered, you will find the same kind of "tear it down and rebuild it" in a few influential comments a few years ago.

Oh, and to your shock...I join you....the direct references to parties, movements, etc is stunning, and you referenced passing judgement on posters....another thing that goes on relative not only to posters but groups (skin colors,etc)

Exactly, and law enforcement is also. Although, many Dept's now require college education or at least college courses pertinent the career. But, folks seem to think they can pay security guard wages for men and women that spend long hours on the road and must practically be experts in statute law. They want our officers to be social services, EMTs and lawyers all in one and pay them a pitiful wage for it. Now, they want to defund any tools that might make it a safer job for them, and even limit new hiring.
But, when you say they are no more noble or saintly than most, I have to disagree. These men and women, usually starting out as very young adults ARE "noble and saintly" for taking on a public service where many folks are saved and freedom is protected. They do so, knowing that they might forfeit their lives doing so. But, they do not hesitate. I have the greatest of respect for these people and am honored to have worked along with them for many years, both military and law enforcement. Public service is a thankless job. You can be a hero for 20 years, but make a mistake or have just one bad day and your mistake will dishonor all the good. Thank goodness that only happens to a very few. I've been wondering why posters reduce the text size too. Makes it difficult to read most of the time so I just skip it and go on to the next post.

I worked with a guy nickname boogaloo, and a dance.

I don't bother using a different color anymore to highlight certain text that I'm quoting. I have found that because there are two versions of this TOTV site, one color is good for one of the versions but not good for the other version of the site. The quote boxes are a different color on each version so it is not a good idea to change text color in the quote box. By not changing the color of the text, the text in the quote box is readable in both versions of this forum.

Like right now, I'm posting in TOTV's default setting (I haven't done anything to it)...it's lowest. It shows up as '1' to me.

Here is when I make an effort to resize to '3.'

It is impossible to reduce below 1, so I believe it is a problem on TOTV's end when they screwed up my account and I had to make another one (ColdNoMore2).

And yes, I told them ahead of time what I was doing. :D

Once they got the original account (this one) squared away and blended both accounts...is when the text issue size seemed to come up. :shrug:
