Total Wine Coming To TV

Heard a rumor that Total Wine was planning to open a location by Millers Ale House on 27/441. Doing some research, it is confirmed. They are currently on boarding staff and will have a Grand Opening announcement in the near future.

Not familiar with it but always good to have an extra place to purchase wine.

Now when do we get a Trader Joes. They have a worldwide exclusive on our favorite wine.

JSR22 06-17-2020 03:25 PM

I guess Total Wine is going in where the Earth Fare market was suppose to open.

dewilson58 06-17-2020 04:25 PM

I will check with my hairdresser's cousin's landscaper and get back to you.

They have job postings for the new store. Legit.

Total Wine is a wonderful store. Great selections of all wines and craft beers. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, at least at the 2 locations that I've been to. A wine superstore!

davem4616 06-17-2020 06:55 PM

This is great news

We enjoyed shopping at Total Wine down in Ft Lauderdale before we moved up to TV

For years we shopped at an ABC store...then a Total Wine set up shop across the street....ABC closed it's door, they
just couldn't compete with Total Wine

Once we move up to TV and found that there were no Total Wines up here we started buying wines on Wine.com and other online sites....we won't have to do that now that a Total Wine store is coming here....yay

I confirmed this directly with Total Wine Corporate.

Mary Windsor 06-17-2020 08:03 PM

Hooray!! We LOVED Total Wine when we lived in D.C.

Northwoods 06-17-2020 08:12 PM

This is the bright spot in the middle of a very depressing year Best news I've heard all year!!!

Total Wine

Total wine would be great. We had one in VA & it's awesome. Costco would be a welcome addition here too. Instead of driving 60 miles to get to one. :)

Jmiller176 06-18-2020 04:48 AM

Lmao! Dwilson58.
Total Wine is a great store for all our beverages.

Rick13994 06-18-2020 05:34 AM

Great news!

I enjoyed Total Wine where I lived before TV. They had a large selection of everything including spirits. The great thing is I received a Total Wine gift card from Co-Workers when I retired in July.

villageuser 06-18-2020 05:37 AM

That is awesome news!! Thanks for the info.

Bridget Staunton 06-18-2020 06:06 AM

Wonderful news, I visit Total Wine when I am in Gainsville or in Orlando, now I can go 4 miles to shop

This isn’t just a “place to purchase wine.” Total Wine is the size of a large grocery store and probably has ten times the selection of wine, beer, and spirits that ABC has. They also have much cheaper prices. Trader Joe’s doesn’t even come close in selection. Check out what Total Wine has and you might find a new favorite.

hotrodgirl 06-18-2020 06:18 AM

Just looked up the location on their corporate site. It's 641 Hwy 27/441, Lady Lake. When I googled that, it's next to the B of A at approximately 441 and Rolling Acres. Now, we just need Trader Joe's in the Earth Fare spot😉

Jupiter Joan 06-18-2020 06:31 AM

Awesome news

bilcon 06-18-2020 06:36 AM

"Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker." Great store., but feel badly for ABC down the road. They have been there for years.

a little competition never hurt anybody...ABC has the opportunity to make changes to remain viable in the market that they choose to serve

let's see what happens

Their selection is awesome, but they are not the bargain they were when they first started opening stores. Their prices were far below anyone else. That ship has sailed. They are now competitive but no longer the great bargain.

Why is it “good to have another place to buy wine?”

Dkeith 06-18-2020 08:24 AM

Yay! That’s great news. I love Total Wine in Miami when visiting family. Congrats!

Great news, love the store.

Topspinmo 06-18-2020 08:48 AM

Good! another place I can get my Mad Dog 2020. Hey!

Gerryk12 06-18-2020 09:26 AM

It would be even better news that Costco was opening near them.

Good news and bad news. Good news - Total Wine has a great selection and good pricing. Bad news - Why not 466A instead of 441? There's plenty of room and it's a lot closer to my place!

Competition is always a good thing, makes companies be more efficient in their operations

We certainly will, like Aldi wines but like to try others.

I agree wholeheartedly and disagree as well. Costco is like - my favorite. However, I have a home in Alpharetta, GA as well. 2 Costco's, one 4 miles away, the other about 14. I recently went to Costco for a $5 rotisserie chicken, left with $349 worth of stuff. If that was the exception it would be okay but unfortunately it's the rule (at least with me). Gotta have those shorts. Somehow the ones I have shrunk. Might as well get a couple of colors. Hmmm Pecan Pralines. This time I promise I won't finish it in one night. I'll only have a couple each day. Look at that, the floor jack is priced so low. I'll do my own oil changes and save money as well as being productive. I only have 150 k-cups at home. I guess while I'm here...........On and on and on - you get my point.

retiredguy123 06-18-2020 10:03 AM

I hope they have my favorite kind of wine. Cheap.

BettyBoop1952 06-18-2020 10:12 AM

Nice to have another option but sad to hear that it's just down the highway from ABC which has been the to-go place for wine/liquor. They may not be able to survive this competition. Too bad they couldn't have opened up shop closer to 466.🤷*♀️

valuemkt 06-18-2020 10:55 AM

That would be a welcome addition IMO. I've shopped the one near Orlando .. after always going to them in Atlanta. Especially those that carry spirits in addition to Wines. Great prices, great selection. Will give ABC MUCH NEEDED competition.

Aloha1 06-18-2020 11:53 AM

Total Wine has a great selection of wines from around the world. Their Winery Direct and Distillery Direct programs bring in lesser known single malts and wines at very good prices. I've bought some pinots and scotches I can't find anywhere else. That and their sales and coupons make it a real bargain.

We had one in Gainesville. If they have the same products and trained staff down here, it's an AWESOME store!!!

Quick update on Total Wine coming to TV. "Coming Soon" sign is up on the space. It's the bigger building behind Miller Ale House where Earth Fare was originally going. Space is next to the Goodwill store. I would estimate 4 to 6 weeks for opening based on what the interior build out looks like as of today.

At least this is one "rumor" that is true!
