Another accident on Buena Vista at Virginia Trace
1 Attachment(s)
Buena Vista. Darn spellcheck.
Maybe happened same time as accident at Palmer? |
I know Burns Vista.
Runs parrallel to Morris Blvd!:icon_wink: |
Hahahahaha!
|
Seems to be not much more than a fender bender. Both cars pulled off to the side, glass and plastic isn't all over the place yet there's an EMT truck, police car and what appears to be the front bumper of a large pumper truck.
I sure hope they have it all under control. |
Just read a vehicle flipped at the roundabout at Palmers.
“ A driver was taken by ambulance to UF Health The Villages Hospital after a vehicle flipped Friday morning in a roundabout” |
Yeah, that picture is on my other “Burns” Vista post. I need to turn off my spellcheck!
|
Do you know that our Sumter County police do NOT give out speeding tickets? I heard it first hand from a police office quit because of they were instructed by the developer NOT to do speed checks or give ANY SPEEDING TICKETS. Buena Vista, Morris, 466, etc are speedways. We better wake up and look at what our government is doing ...they could care less about our safety. Just keep our hands in our pockets and keep smiling. Remember strength in numbers!

tikets
FAKE NEWS:boom:
|
I know of a few people that have been given speeding tickets. Two of them were in golf carts.
|
it takes a lo of speed to flip a vehicle. don't you think?
|
Don't know we're you get your info from about Sheriff's not giving speeding tickets. That is totally incorrect. I know someone that got a ticket in TV. Not me.
|
Sad to say that is not true. I received a speeding ticket on Buena Vista coming south right before the roundabout past Arnold Palmer.
|
First of all, Sumter County has sheriff's deputies, not police. Second, yes they do give out tickets for speeding.

The developer has no power over the several law enforcement agencies that police the areas in The Villages; Sumter County Sheriff, Lady Lake Police. Fruitland Park Police, Wildwood Police, Marion County Sheriff. |

Please stop posting rumors
It’s really bad how people will post BS as an absolute fact without checking the information first. This is how fake news spreads. Spreading such unfounded rumors can even lead to people’s reputations being ruined or worse.
If you hear something from someone (especially if it outrages you!), please check the information before passing it on. Or, at a minimum, start your statement with something like “I heard...” so people know that you aren’t certain. As an example, my brother told me that COVID-19 can’t survive more than a few seconds as an aerosol in sunlight. That didn’t sound right, so after we hung up I looked for a source for that “information” and found none. I sent him a text asking where he heard it and he couldn’t find a source for it either. I suspect he heard it from a talking head on the propaganda network he listens to regularly. If you aren’t positive of something, please check before posting what is nothing more than a rumor. Don’t be a rumor monger. |
No speeding tickets ? Really fake news. What would this site be like if there wasn’t at least one blame the family fake news flash everyday

There IS a huge difference in having 'legal power/authority' and having 'massive/undue influence'...due to a number of reasons.
Often, having lots of money is the primary source...of that influence. |

I have or should say had a friend in Conn who became State trooper..All changed once he got a badge went to his head.
He actually had a card he gave out to family members he told them if they ever got pulled over to just show it They have their perks it's not talked about in certain circles... My own experience I was riding with a good friend a retired Trooper from Ohio not all that long ago..Right here in Wildwood he drove though radar in a school zone over the speed limit not by much An officer up ahead flagged him over as well as another car. The officer politely asked for his licence and proof of insurance. He complied..On his licence was denoted as retired Trooper. The officer returned said can't give a brother a ticket..Suppose I'll have to let the other one go also |
