Double shooting in CHAZ one dead
One man is dead and another is wounded after a shooting in Seattle's 'Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone,' also known as CHAZ or CHOP.
The shooting occurred at around 2.20am on Saturday near a barricaded entrance to the protest camp, as the anti-police occupation entered its second week in downtown Seattle. Police said in a statement that a 19-year-old male victim had died, and another of an unknown age had life-threatening injuries and was in unknown condition. Seattle Police said they encountered 'a violent crowd that prevented officers safe access to the victims' as they responded to the shooting. Why in the world are they allowing this to continue. Hope they are not allowing anything to go into this zone.

Until they shut off the utilities this will go on for months. Remember this an official “Summer of Love” event....

It will probably end November 4th.

Frankly, I am surprised something like this did not happen there sooner. Will the perp be arrested and tried by the court of CHAZ?
Now what? |
Time for Authorities to step in..Enough is Enough

Frankly I couldn't care less. Seattle deserves everything it gets. |
The longer CHAZ continues, the more credibility the movement loses.

Mommy and Daddy should cut off their allowance they'll go home
|
Did they send the survivor to a CHAZ hospital or out of the country to a hospital in Seattle. I wonder if they had to do that will CHAZ pay his medical bills?

Surprising that you don't see anything about this in the mainstream media. Oh wait... no it isn't. |
Let them kill each other. This should have been stopped in the beginning.

And the point is?
What did people expect when a bunch of anarchists hood rats took over that area in Seattle?
Everyone was going to get along and sing songs and hold hands? Let them kill each other off. Who cares? |
Considering conservatives who do not want CHAZ to succeed, have been coming in and protesting the place, we do not know if the person who did the shooting even belonged in there and if they believed in what is being achieved.
I am embarrassed for America that anyone would jump from there has been a shooting at Chaz to wanting them to kill each other. What about less drastic steps? Like what Seattle is doing — working with the protesters to see how the police can safely enter the area when needed. It is in working together, EVERYONE, that we can make America great. For those who are interested, this is the “rest of the story” from Washington Post: Jones said the response by the protesters, sentinels and medics was an improvement over police action, which could have further escalated the situation. “Last night was a complete success story [in dealing] with an active shooter,” Jones said. “Usually in an active-shooter situation when police are involved, they let the shooter run out of bullets and then they get in there. That did not happen here. As soon as there were shots fired, people got actively involved, and there was a medical team on site immediately. We didn’t need sirens and more guns to get the job done.” |

Not till they are all dead

it seems to be evolving just way things evolved in the book "Lord of the Flies"
guess that book was a little too 'outdated' to make their summer reading list well, on the upside at least Hollywood will have a new original storyline to turn into a movie.... |

Those responsible for law and order in all of our cities and towns having to negotiate when it is safe for the police to enter a lawless take over portion of a public area. If one is a supporter so be it. Please don't expect the rest of us (98++%) to agree. |

There seems to be some replies in here in favor of letting this continue to play out and to not rush in and stop it. I just wonder what the replies would be if a group of "peaceful protestors" decided to turn Sumter Landing into their"autonomous zone"? I would hope and pray that our elected officials would show a little more moxie. And that is exactly how the law abiding citizens living and trying to operate businesses in CHAZ are feeling.

I don't think it's "working" too well. There is video of the protesters running towards and surrounding/blocking the Police cars as they arrived. |
Where does selective or no enforcement of the law of the land work?
It doesn't!! |
No sympathy from me.
|
If they turned off the Internet service to the CHOP area and nearby perimeter, both ground and cellular, then the occupants of CHOP would have to leave the area, and go back to their parents basements.

If they would get jobs they wouldn’t be there. Living off of the rest of us is their way of life even though they protest it!

Doesn't surprise me at all. It was only a matter of time and the blood is on the woman mayor who thinks it's going to be a "summer of love" there in Seattle.
|
Sure hope they called ANTIFA and BLM for help because police officers should refuse.
