Seattle mayor slams protesters for showing no 'regard for' her 'safety'
Seattle mayor slams protesters for showing no 'regard for' her 'safety' as demonstrators circle her home.
A group of protesters marched to the home of Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan on Sunday afternoon, upset that she pledged to dismantle the police-free "Capitol Hill Organized Protest" zone, known as CHOP. Demonstrators have controlled the six-block area since June 8, saying they will not leave until the city meets a list of demands. Defunding the local police department by at least 50% is at the top of their list. Over the last several days, multiple instances of shootings, rape, and robbery have been reported inside or near CHOP, local police said. Sounds like they've found a new site for CHOP.

What goes around comes around. I love it...that and when the "protests" went to Beverly Hills...... that there was very little coverage of.:ohdear:

Regarding the Mayor; “You can’t fix Stupid”
|
Breaking: Seattle Police have cleared the zone in less than an hour.
Meanwhile, several multi million dollar lawsuits have been filed by residents and business in the zone for all the disruption. Guess who pays if city looses? |
So she doesn't like the party any more?

Maybe she is getting tired of her “love fest, block party”. I’m sure if I looked up the meaning of love I wouldn’t see the words rape, murder, etc. All of this has to stop now, it’s getting ridiculous to even entertain these idiots.

what comes around, goes around................. when will they learn.......... ?
remember r. lee ermey's response to parkland hs's david hogg's declaration ' we're starting a revolution ! ' ? ' revolution ? you can't even start a lawnmower yet ! ' |

Not my house! Where are the police?

That would be great. |
Clarification: If I read the story you posted correctly, the mayor wasn’t actually at her house. The city councilwoman who was active in the march may not have known that. The mayor and her family had been moved to a secret site for their own safety.

That's what happens when you support lawlessness and not your own communities that put you in office.

Seattle
Maybe the good citizens of Seattle should protest at the Mayors house and demand she do her job.
|
Oh no, not in my back yard.
|
Your right Karma is a bit... she deserves everything that is happening to her. Now the wonderful blues have to protect her. I would take my time getting to her mansion

What a country socialist mayor of Seattle
Complains when the hate mobs she supports Comes to her $7 million dollar home! Who says socialism doesn’t pay for the Politicians in charge. |
Isn't this the woman who said that she would not used the police or violence to resolve the issue with CHOP? She was going to negotiate with them to get them to leave.
What happened to that? |
Such a shame. You sometimes get what you deserve.
|
It couldn’t happen to a nicer person.
|
Has to be one of the dumbest public officials of the first half of the year 2020. What could she have possibly have been thinking or which drug could she possible have been taking to allow the city of Seattle to suffer through such criminal indignity. The only consolation here is that the coffee sippers who elected her got exactly what they deserved.
|
.........."But!"
All those unwashed people came into our lovely neighborhood! |
Hollywood couldn't have written a better script for this
|
The police chief and the silent majority (coffee sippers?) took far too long to respond.
Maybe there is a lesson for others to be learned. When the order was finally given to the police to remove the protestors and their fake established encampment, it was done nearly over night......including taking back the abandoned police station...... An example of what should have been done day one. |
Hey Dimwit Jenny....you reap what you sow

I googled this incident but I couldn't find any information or pictures on whether or how protesters were prevented from damaging or entering her house. I would assume there might have been security guarding her house. If there was, were they armed? If they were then shame on them. Didn't we learn from St Louis that guarding your home, yourself and your spouse with weapons is a no-no and any person doing so should be arrested for a criminal offense.

What Comes Around
This reminds me of a politician who had embezzled millions of dollars from the NYS Teachers Retirement Fund. Clinton pardoned him and he never made restitution. When he purchased a large farm in a rural town in upstate NY, thinking no one would know him, he asked the town supervisor who he should call if there was an emergency during winter storms. The supervisor told him to call the fire department. Problem with his gas or water? The fire department. Lightning strike? The fire department. First aid? The fire department. The funny thing is the fire department is all voluntary. Do you want to guess who makes up the fire department and emergency squad? You guessed it: teachers.

So thinking that setting up a campaign fund for the mayor will not go over very well here:bigbow:
