What's your favorite song with a state or city name in the title?
Of all the great songs that have either a state or city name in the title I think that Johnny Mercier's "Georgia" is my favorite. No matter who sings it, I love listening to it.
Second on my list would be "San Francisco Bay Blues"...the original folk version, not Eric Clapton's. My wife's favorite is "Sorrento" |

One of my favorites as well, assume you mean Georgia On My Mind. If so, in fact, that was written by Hoagie Carmichael with lyrics by Stuart Gorrell. Also, there is some discussion about whether this song is really about the State, as Hoagie had a sister who he adored, and may have written the song for her.

“If your going to San Francisco you better wear some flowers in your hair”
