General denistry

One of my teeth is telling me it is time to see a dentist.

Could someone please recommend a good honest one.

Thanks so much.

And would be a plus if they were part of the Humana Gold Network.

bumpygreens 07-30-2020 10:33 AM

I don't know if he is in your network, but my experiences with Dr Hall at Villages Dental have been very good.

davem4616 07-30-2020 10:59 AM

Stu, we like Dr. Hendry in Fruitland Park...just off 441/27

We've been going to him for 3 years now

Dr Timothy Pruitt, (352) 589-5660. Don't know about Humana and if you are travel adverse might not work. His practice is in Tavares but he has an excellent practice.

He must be a great dentist he is booked up thru January. Thanks for the recommendation.

villagetinker 07-30-2020 01:17 PM

We use Baylee Dental, they do not accept insurance, but give you a form for you to send in for coverage.

queasy27 07-30-2020 02:43 PM

Palm Ridge Dental is excellent, including the front office staff. I've used both Dr. Williams and Dr. Jaber. They do charge slightly more than average and my guess is they won't take your insurance.

My experience has been that dental insurance plans are fairly restrictive as far as providers go. You may need to check Humana to see who's in network locally and proceed from there.

Good luck and I hope you're not in pain with this.

We recently found Dr. Williams after finally realizing we had to give up our beloved dentist up North. She and her staff are wonderful! Be careful with your choice. Some real bad guys out there. You’d need to call about your insurance 352-391-9930. Very, very efficient, professional staff. Good luck.

Wow.....he is a great dentist, he was originally vetted by a person that was responsible for hiring dentists up north....when we moved here I called her and asked where am I going and she said Dr. Pruitt. When you get this tooth fixed you might want to consider a January appointment.....the practice is worth it.

robin.nurse 07-31-2020 04:51 AM

Dentist

I’ve had work done at Wildwood dental care in Wildwood on 301 they also have a office in Lake Deaton Plaza.

I’ve had two crowns replaced there was decay on both teeth they took care of them is very clean sanitary very professional and I felt it is in line with other dental pricing.

Magajane 07-31-2020 06:35 AM

Dr. Wadsworth. She and her husband have a dental business. We have gone there for years. They only do what’s necessary.

Villages Kahuna 07-31-2020 07:05 AM

Dr. Cliff Buehrer on the south side of Ocala. A half-hour drive from Mallory. He’s a University of Michigan dental school grad. My wife and I make our appointments together and then head for Harry’s Grille (our favorite in Ocala) for lunch.

VIP Dentistry in the Villages is great. Like many dentists they do not accept insurance but provide the forms to apply to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

turk3531 07-31-2020 07:21 AM

Parker 07-31-2020 08:18 AM

Palm Ridge Dental, Dr. Kathleen Williams. They are an excellent dental group, kind and friendly, very experienced, and honest. You can't do better IMO.

rogerk 07-31-2020 08:40 AM

I have found Dr.Howell on CR 466 by Rolling Acers to be excellent. Great staff and up to date equipment. I don't know about the insurance question.

avillager 07-31-2020 08:55 AM

VIP Dentistry in the Lange building excellent honest service.
Golf cart friendly also

cherylncliff 07-31-2020 08:57 AM

Hendry comes highly recommended but when I last checked was not taking new patients. We use Dr. Howell on 466 and like him. Note that he will submit billing to your insurance but he is not in any of the networks.

RDhot 07-31-2020 09:07 AM

No dentist anywhere is booked through January. Especially, if you have a toothache.

The lady I spoke to said for dental emergencies he could see me fairly soon but for regular visits he is booked up till January.

Was shocked to hear it but that is what she said. Would think that if this is the case it is time to stop accepting new patients.

cmapgurley@comcast.net 07-31-2020 09:44 AM

VIP Dentistry, Dr Emerick is great! they give you a statement to send to your own insurance claims dept. works easily enough! It is on first floor of Lange EYE BLDG 466 and 101 behind CVS

Rzepecki 07-31-2020 09:45 AM

Dr. Wallace at Marion Dental, across from Lowe’s on 441.

Caruso9 07-31-2020 09:49 AM

Go to Jones Denistry in Fruitland Park. Will not be disappointed.

Tony Curinga 07-31-2020 09:50 AM

To Stu from NYC who needs a dentist

I am a retired dentist. (From Westchester Co. NY)
My wife and I use Dr's Wadsworth's Office. Rusty is retired. Lisa still practicing. Dr Patel Resh is new owner. Great credentials. Good guy. We stayed and are happy.

ProfessorDave 07-31-2020 09:55 AM

I was in the dental industry (Johnson and Johnson) for years. I use Dr. Wallace - who is AWESOME. He is at the Marion Dental Group on 441 in Lady Lake.

I have found Palm Ridge Dentistry to be awesome and more than worth the fees.

Why would you just not be grateful that they can see you? Most dentists will do everything to accommodate if you’re in pain.

That is why I asked for recommendation and thankfully got lots of answers.

Spent a lot of time yesterday calling and most were not accepting new patients and the ones that were had questionable references.

Monday have a lot of possibilities

Thanks all
