Buy golf cart in Villages or outside?

We are getting ready to buy 2 carts. What are the pros and cons of different dealers? Thanks

Toymeister 07-30-2020 06:18 PM

You can save thousands on each cart by buying out of state and having them shipped in. PM me for a dealer one state over.

OUTSIDE. they will give you more for your money.

JoMar 07-30-2020 08:06 PM

Outside

Topspinmo 07-30-2020 08:33 PM

I wouldn’t buy new one, IMO you never get you’re money back. There value drops like rock just like new vehicles. Plenty of used ones for sale in classified for at least half price Or more few years old if you can evaluate the condition? Non golfer cart would be better IMO. If not then maybe new better choice?

Country Village Power Equipment

Ask for Steve.
We saved about $3,000 when we purchased ours there. Excellent people to work with as well!

I bought a 2020 Yamaha from Bargain Carts in Hains City for $7,800 plus tax and they delivered it for free. I had to install the side mirrors with turn signals which I got from Amazon.

I think Steve was the salesman and they only have one salesman. I picked my color and they have a lot the options.

Buy from The Villages cart stores. Yamaha Factory Warranty. Yamaha Factory wiring, not some kid in the back shop doing a non-factory wiring that has no warranty. Think, would you buy a new car and have a back yard mechanic wire it for you? Of course not! Service in The Villages that you can drive to at 4 locations. We all know "You get what you pay for".

That is fine if you want a bare-bones cart. Loaded up like Villagers want them a new cart is always at least 11K+

Gerrys 07-31-2020 05:04 AM

Carts and Clubs in Ocala are great to deal with. Highly recommend.

17362 07-31-2020 06:15 AM

The Villages discount cars. Rod Evans

ronharvey2 07-31-2020 06:19 AM

I agree with Gerry. Carts and Clubs in Ocala. Better deal than in TV. They bring it to you and service in your driveway.

DavidStockhausen 07-31-2020 06:39 AM

Try Crown Carts in Wildwood. Local Star Dealer, have their own brand as well with Air Conditioning, Family Run, Honest, and Reasonably Priced

baustgen 07-31-2020 06:52 AM

Another vote for Country Power in Webster if you want new.. Plenty of used available on TO TV every day. Would only buy Yamaha. Get the seat upgrade.

Bobbyn 07-31-2020 06:54 AM

I have two 2013 Yamaha EFI carts for sale.
Both have Curtis Cabs. Private owner, purchased from The Villages. $5500 ea.

alfredpopcorn@gmail.com 07-31-2020 06:58 AM

Yes carts and golf - beat villagers by 450$ for new cart .

mdfan1952 07-31-2020 07:20 AM

Pros if buying a golf cart outside the V

My guys from my golf group have purchased golf carts from carts and clubs new and used. We haven’t had any problems with the dealer in 9 years. They come to your house and service the cart

NorskiCroat 07-31-2020 07:25 AM

No one has mentioned Atomic Cool Karts in Wildwood. The carts are manufactured in China and are not designed for large people but for most are a great alternative to a Yamaha with a cab. You get electric windows, air conditioning, heater, windshield wipers, radio, back up camera, and remote controlled locks with your fob. Love mine.

Carts & Clubs on 301 just before you hit Ocala city limits were about $600 less when I priced new Yamaha carts vs the Villages Carts. However, many of my friends have bought refurbished Yamaha carts from Birdie golf on 466 across from Hacienda Mission Villas and have been very satisfied.

Preilly 07-31-2020 08:04 AM

We have two. We have one that is now 18 years old that was used and still perking along fine with good maintenance and repair and we have one purchased new from The Villages. Our resident expert makes the choices about golf carts and I handle world affairs. So far his decisions are doing better than mine.

cemlopez 07-31-2020 09:18 AM

Club Car World on 441 just west off CR-466 has a buy one and get the second for half it's price.

Bikeracer2009 07-31-2020 09:33 AM

My cart came with everything except the Sunbrella (spelling) and mirrors. They added the Sunbrella for I think $400 and I put the mirrors on for about $35. I got custom reclining seats with armrests for $800. The Villages charges $1900 for the same seats and they get them from the same place.

Yep, The Villages Golf Carts are convenient and that comes at a cost.

This was my experience. I saved thousands and picked my colors, fabric and options.

My neighbor spent over 16k for his and could've got the same cart with the same options for about 12k.

I have nothing against the Villages selling golf carts and having a large territory that keeps out the competition for the Yamaha carts. They can sell them for whatever they want. They add quality parts to a great cart and I recommend them to anyone not worried about cost over convenience.

Raybemis1 07-31-2020 09:39 AM

And u bought from where?

KRM0614 07-31-2020 09:40 AM

Best is to buy privately !

ProfessorDave 07-31-2020 09:51 AM

I bought mine in Indiana - shipped hear. Total for two carts was $15,000 including shipping.

Bikeracer2009 07-31-2020 10:09 AM

Village discount just north of Spanish springs. Do a great job. These things run along time minimal maintenance

rjd111 07-31-2020 02:34 PM

Country Village Power just purchased new cart and saved about $2500 will pick up late August 2020 when moved to the villages talk to Carolyn she is very knowledgeable about Yamaha carts and very pleasant bought over phone and email.

jenistaf 07-31-2020 03:37 PM

After looking at many of those mentioned, we went with Carts For Less. They remanufacture carts from the ground up to your specs, gas or electric, lots of options, 1 year warranty. Enjoying our cart, which doesn't look like the others. Very pleased with the service - and saved us about $3,000 over new. Showroom/workshop at 2281 US Hwy 441/27, Fruitland Park. 352-801-5925

I have a reconditioned 2007 Yamaha gas cart with club car doors for sale. We bought it in 2015 for a rental property. It was purchased from village's golf cart store in brownwood. It runs well has has not been used more then to run to mailbox several times a week. If interested contact me for further details.

yankygrl 07-31-2020 04:24 PM

Very funny

Buying a Golf Cart

The Villages Golf Car in Lake Sumter Landing is the only place I would work with. And only with Mark Moderelli. He gives service after the sale and really cares about his customers.

glee101 08-01-2020 06:31 AM

I’m moving and selling my 2018 Yamaha gas cart. Quiet techVery low miles. Message for more Info

Can you share where you purchased the cart
