When Do They Mow Exec Courses?
 

With tee times scheduled between dawn and dusk, when do they mow our executive courses?

As the comments above, when its play time.

They start around 5:30 or 6 depending on time of year. Start on hole one so you don’t see them for dust tee time cause the are on hole 4 or more by time tee times start up. Do greens And traps every day and fairways not as often.

I can't speak for The Villages, but as a cutter at Stonecrest, we start at 5am. Greens are cut every other day. 18 holes can be done by 8:30. Fairways and rough take a lot longer.

While play is going on , champ courses I see Lopez being mowed in the dark very early in the AM

No grass on exec courses

The last couple of weeks they have been mowing during the day....much more mowing during play.

Played Stonecrest once. Worst condition I’ve ever seen. Just because you mow, doesn’t mean the condition is good

I live on hole 9 and they mow at 5 am

When they see a group of women playing. They also like to rake the bunkers, fixing the sprinkler heads on the greens, while we’re on the tee box too.

Greens before dawn and other areas all day long.

Apparently you haven't played there in a while. They are under new ownership, and conditions have vastly improved.

The courses by me have thick, plush beautiful grass. Come on down.

Mowing times on Executive Courses.
 

About an hour before the first tee time. If you are considering buying a house on an executive course you should just be aware that it could be a little noisy very early in the morning. Also, as the mowers move around the course you might have their headlamps shining Intermittently into your home.
Shortly after moving in, I woke up to the thought that ET had landed outside my window as the lights came through my blinds.
Not complaining - I’m an early morning person. Just food for thought.

The work on our golf courses is often started before 6 am. It’s a regimental procedure performed perfectly. I watch it daily.

Workers are out at around 2:30 or so in the morning mowing the greens. Workers can be seen working the sand traps and mowing during the day when you are playing. Yes

They do such a great job. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful golfing community

I have ben on the course when they came out and mowed around us. It was only a slight disturbance to our goflgame.
