Pizza delivery to Buttonwood
Can someone recommend a good pizza place that will deliver to Buttonwood?
|
What's it worth to you? I can drive to Wildwood and pick one up at the local place. I think it is Angelotti's.
|
The Pauleys in Mulberry Grove delivers to Bonita but I'm not sure about Buttonwood.
|
Bravo Pizza in Lake Sumter Landing, delivers, but there is a charge and I'm not sure if they go out to Buttonwood.
You can call and ask. |
Angelotti's offers free delivery to Amelia so they probably will deliver to Buttonwood also. They give a 10% Village discount and their Tuesday and Saturday special is a large cheese for 8 bucks (no discount on the specials). You can add a couple of toppings and feed 4 for $11. It's a really good pie, better than Paulie's or Bravo.

Dominoes delivers to Buttonwood. Don't know where they are located, I ordered on-line
|
I would imagine that Hungry Howie's in Wildwood would deliver to Buttonwood (if they have a delivery person -- they seem to come and go faster than our recent rainfalls).
|
I just saw an add for Snappy Tomato which says it delivers throughout The Villages. They have a large 2 topping for $11. Don't know if they charge extra for delivery. Has anyone tried them? Evidently they are a chain. Never heard of them. Any good?

They are in La Plaza Grande.
I had a piece during the crafts fair last Spring. Went back a couple weeks later for a second piece. That's more than I can say for most pizza places outside of Chicago. . |

I've had snappy's delivery pizza at a couple of parties in private homes... It was certainly decent. Not on my list of top ten pizzas but pretty ok.
Now, if we could just get a Ledo's franchise to open up in the villages. |
I have learned this for sure. NO pizza is as good as your home towns.

Ledo
Grew up on Ledo pizza on Adelphi Road. Still remember the long lines down the street. So glad I can still get this pizza for now. :clap2:

The first time I was in Chicago, I had deep dish pizza that was made by the person who had orinated this idea. It came out like a slice of pie and I had trouble finishing two pieces. Anyone who knows the way I used to eat would be astonished that I couldn't eat more. It was the most delicious pizza I ever ate. I got to go now as my mouth is watering thinking about this pizza. :icon_hungry: |
The best pizza I've ever eaten in my life is the stuffed pizza from Sicilia's Pizzeria on Federal Hill in Providence, Rhode Island. Now that's a pizza. And the calzones...forgettaboutit! Makes my sweet southern mouth drool thinking about it. We had Ledo's delivery in Woodbridge, Va. Great pizza, but nothing compared to Sicilia's.

Yeah, the Food Network's Guy Fieri did an episode with the Olneyville NY System hot dogs. Sorry to hi-jack the thread. But that's good eats. Natural casing hot dogs are the best.

We went by Snappy this week and decided to drop in and give them a try. Best pizza in TV. Nice crust and fresh toppings. They do charge $2 for delivery. My favorite is still Angelotti but we had problems with their last delivery.

We like Belleview Pizza - as does the people in the line around the building.
Snappy, Pauly's and Bravo are ok, not bad like Big City, Napoli or Johnny Rockets (if they ever made pizza) was. Where in Wildwood is Angelotti's? (I never had deep dish pizza, a North Side thing, until we went to Pizza Uno in Fremont, CA. Didn't like it. Chgo fav is Aurelio's in Homewood: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurelio%27s_Pizza)(my brother who is a snowbird in the historic area is friends with the owners and has talked about working a deal to open a franchise in the TV area)(he owned a small bar and Italian restaurant in Richton Park, IL for years) . |
Pizza or sandwiches delivered to calumet grove?, we border on 42
