Condo on beach

Having just gone through several major medical procedures, I would love to just get away to a condo on a beach somewhere and relax on a beach or near a pool? With covid, in mind I am nervous but for my mental health I really could use this. Any suggestions of a safe place to go and start celebrating Recovery?

Heartnsoul 08-05-2020 11:07 AM

Condo on Beach?

I just experienced several extreme medical procedures and need a break, retreat. Does anyone know where you can SAFELY go to a condo on a beach to start to HEAL without worrying about covid. I would wait but REALLY need a break for some healing Mental health?

La lamy 08-05-2020 11:14 AM

Oh my goodness. Tough question, especially in Florida. No answers for you, but all the best in your endeavor to find a safe, peaceful healing place.

TNGary 08-05-2020 11:27 AM

I wish you the best in your recovery,

Manasota key just south of Venice.
Laid back. Outdoor restaurants right there on the key. Quiet. Condos for rent.

vintageogauge 08-05-2020 01:06 PM

Who knows what lurks in that condo, was it properly sanitized after the last guests left? How about the table and condiments at that outside restaurant? No one knows where a totally safe place is, no matter where you go it's a crap shoot. Everybody can use a nice relaxing time at the beach for their mental health but most are choosing not to do so as it surely is a gamble.

Very nice key

Heartnsoul 08-05-2020 02:06 PM

I Do understand but most people havent been through what I have lately. Maybe a villager who owns a condo? Just a thought

Stu from NYC 08-05-2020 06:28 PM

Have you discussed the advisability of this with your physician?

jane032657 08-05-2020 07:18 PM

Ormond Beach?

We live half the year in Daytona Beach Shores and half the year in The Villages. The beach is very healing. Hope you find a place.

Heartnsoul 08-05-2020 08:50 PM

No, Surgeons are into operations. I'm mentally ready to HEAL and a few days at a beach will address my mental health better then any physician can

Vistana Beach Club, part of Marriott. They have condos on Jensen Beach. Marriot, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Best Western all have condo set ups. Bring your own food , stay safe. Check out Trip Advisor.

The gulf coast between St Pete and Clearwater. There are many small towns. Indian Ricks Indian Shores Sand Key Redington Shores North Redington Madeira Beach. Much smaller areas. Pinellas County has mandatory face mask regulations. Officers are patrolling the beaches. Go and enjoy. I have been going for a couple months now. Try Airbnb for a private condo. Good luck

KimmieK 08-06-2020 06:25 AM

Siesta Key or Indian Rocks Beach

Jensen Beach

There are a number of Condo's on Jensen Beach which is 10 miles south of Vero Beach and about 35 miles south of Jensen Beach. You can find the rentals on the Internet. A reasonable one is "Dunewalk". It has what I think you are looking for. It is a 3 hour drive from The Villages.Good Luck!:ho:

I have a terrific suggestion for you.

The Hammock Beach Resort located at Palm Coast about a 2hr drive from The Villages.

The resort is located on the beach, swimming pool, restaurants on site. We have been there a few times just to relax and for us is a perfect spot to get away. It is quiet, private. Perfect.

Google it. There phone contact is ( 1-877-586-0180 )

Hope this helps you.

Love this area and only 2 hours away. We were just down at St, Pete’s beach it was wonderful and not crowded.

We went to Manasota Key for years every January. Very relaxing and low key. If you would go there, try to find a condo on the south end of the beach, north end has had some erosion of beaches. Hope you get better.

My brother rented a place immediately north of Cocoa Beach two summers ago was a private condo, had a pool and access to a private part of the beach. Was maybe a mile north of Ron Jon and the pier.

I just looked it up it was actually in Cape Canaveral was Royal Mansions Resorts.

I have looked into the beach as well before I lose it. Daytona beach has a mask mandate so I think that is good. Also called the Daytona Regency and spoke with a manager and asked what they are doing to protect against Covid. I won’t go into all the details but I was satisfied. Also it is a timeshare type place so you have a full kitchen to do your own cooking or plenty of restaurants to get takeout. It is right on the ocean. That is what we will do mid September

Good luck and good health

Debbraham 08-06-2020 07:58 AM

I have a condo up in Sandestin. My housekeeper follows the CDC cleaning protocol. Paradise Found in Sandestin - Baytowne Wharf

Yes, for quiet ocean front, not Gulf front, Hammock Beach off Palm Coast is a short and scenic drive from The Villages. Hwy 42 to 19 to 40 to 11 to Hwy 1. At least it was quiet the times we went there, mainly in the fall and winter.

We have a 2/2 condo in Ormond by the sea. Email me at leighto58@gmail.com for link to check it out and for a better price.

All short term rentals are closed in Florida by DeSantis
A hotel?

vitacr 08-06-2020 08:19 AM

We recently spent a week in Daytona Beach Shores at our timeshare. Also celebrated our anniversary end of May in the Bahama House, both comforting, practicing social distancing and safe. The Flagler Beach area is popular for a day trip - less people. Enjoy.

I have stayed at this condo. It is very nice and on a very quiet beach. It is owned by a Villager (neighbor) and she does the cleaning herself, so you know it’s good! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

newgirl 08-06-2020 08:57 AM

From the scientists I have listened to, the virus only lives on objects for a few hours making staying in a hotel or condo pretty safe.

Troopie 08-06-2020 09:43 AM

Condo on beach

Wow. A friend JUST sent me this link to a condo she stayed at recently. She said the place was beautiful; the price was reasonable and the beach was private....an occasional person would stroll by but, for the most part, she had the beach all to herself. I've never been here, myself, but plan to rent this place at some point in the future. Here's the link:

Vacation Rentals, Homes, Experiences & Places - Airbnb

I hope you feel better soon!

jaccik1 08-06-2020 09:48 AM

Ormond Beach is wonderful during the week. Every quite. Social distance.

raynan 08-06-2020 10:13 AM

Shoreline Resort on Madeira Beach has pool and direct on beach with a short walk on beach to the water. You'd have balcony small kitchenette, queen or king size bed with tv and all cable channels and 2 recliners and a small table with 2 chairs. It's adults only and very relaxing and clean with covered parking. Order in from Publix and relax.

pwestby 08-06-2020 10:15 AM

I have used Oceanfront Cottages in Indialantic (only 90 minutes from here) for many years - it is right on the ocean and so relaxing

Swabbie67 08-06-2020 10:15 AM

Would you be interested in Hilton Head? Small condo on beach great view of beach. Pool and tennis courts on property(all though you probably aren’t up to a lot of physical activities.
