Time

Why does the site not adjust for daylight savings time. All of the posts are always an hour off during this period. Seems this only happens when viewing as guest and is correct when logged on.

I do not need instructions on how to fix this. It is correct when logged on and off an hour when viewing as guest. It is a bug in the software and I am just letting them know.

Time is probably time zone the database server is located in. Not necessarily a bug. Settings adjust these times to your location.

It's not a bug in the software. When you're not logged in, you will see the default time. That is how the software works. It is on purpose. If you are in California when you are not logged in, it'll look even weirder. And if you're in Australia and not logged in, it'll look weirder still.

Daylight savings doesn't exist in many parts of the world, and readers of this forum aren't located only in places where it does exist. And further, even ones who are located in places where it does exist, aren't only reading it from the same time zone.

When you are logged in, you will see whatever time you set your account to see. When you are not logged in, you will see the default time.

Hang in there! :icon_wink:

davem4616 09-24-2020 09:31 AM

I no longer need to be accurate with the time (none of my doctors seem to be on time, and they're working...so why should I worry about it?)

heck if it wasn't for my pill box I wouldn't know which day of the week it was

I used to be able to set my watch by the trash pick up guys...but now they're inconsistent so, each day I pick one of the different times in the house on either the microwave, the stove, the alarm clock, the thermostat, my cell phone, my computer or the TV box and I'm good to go

finding out the time each morning reminds me of the old days when cereal came in a variety package of little boxes and you had to choose one
