Not happy with this company. went in to price door, shower door. Have same exact shower in showroom. They told me $2,000 for Mermaid shower door. Said I dont want to spend that much on shower door. What if I just purchase w/o Mermaid? Told 1,000. Ok that was good I thought. l just had shower redone , called them to come measure. Of course I figured if mine was a touch larger or smaller price could change a bit. Bottom line they doubled price when they came over. When I spoke to them about no way they could justify that, they coped an attitude and I said ok I will go somewhere else their response was SOUNDS GOOD. ! Do not like when given one price in store, double it when u come in our home and then are rude and even deny u gave me the original price.

We had a completely different experience. Had the tub pulled out in the 2nd bathroom and a new shower installed. Selected a door and paid extra for chipping on the top so it looked liked waves. They gave a price and we gave a deposit. When they came to measure there was not any change in price. They did a good job installing and we are very pleased with the upgrade.

Our experience with Perry was the exact opposite.

Their attention to detail needs or wants of the customer and after the sale/installation service is among the best.

The only realistic estimate is the one done by actual measurement. Discussing in the store is nothing more than guesstimating!

Is Perry the company that can install decorative glass in your front entry door?

I have to disagree with u on this one being I have same shower as in showroom. Of course I can understand a slight adjustment if my shower is an inch or so smaller or larger , that is understandable but to double the price and Deny what you told me and then not work with me and be rude about it is not necessary. I understand if u had a good experience but I wanted to post my experience also. In my opinion, not the way to run a business

Perry's has been in business longer then you have been here. My guess is you told them how it was going to be before you gave then a chance to quote you. It sounds like they quoted so that they did not have to do work for you. We have used them seven times and always price and quality won them over.
You could shop the Flea Market and find lower prices and quality.

We were very happy with them during a remodel. Came out measured, gave estimate and time frame. Our contractor had to redo one wall and it did change Berry's measurements and he had to order a new door. He was great......no hassle and didn't make us pay for a whole new door. We just had to pay for the extra size adjustment. Great work and very easy to work with and for anyone who has used several contractors, handymen, pest, lawncare companies etc here in Florida........hard to come by good workmanship, and honesty. Unfortunately there seems to more bad than good here in Florida but Berry's is definitely one of the few good ones. Sorry you had a bad experience.

Attitudes work both ways. Ive had positive and friendly experiences with them. They gave you a guess in the store. Thats it unless they confirmed it in writing

I dealt with them twice and have been pleased with their work and attitude.

Kenny Berry installed our Door about three months ago and it still looks beautiful just like when it was installed. Reasonable price and great workmanship

Perry’s is terrific! We’ve had them do several projects for us — front door, sidelights, two half rounds and two solid shower doors. Great design and quality, and a surprisingly fair price. So we beg to differ with the OP.

We used Perry for our front door glass insert. Very pleased and happy with work.

Another vote for Kenny Berry from Ocala. The shower door he installed 4 years ago still functions well and looks nice.

I installed a thick plate-glass, tempered door in my shower, the sort you see in fine hotels. The door was about 32” wide, and there was a side panel about a foot wide. It was all about 6’ high, and I could barely lift the door. One thing I learned from putting it in myself is that a door that heavy has to be mounted on several studs sistered together. (If the weight makes the wall pull out 1/8”, the door doesn’t fit.) Fortunately, I discovered this when the walls were all bare studs, so adding the 2x4 sisters was easy. However. If your shower has a lightweight glass door and you want a heavy door, a lot of expensive surgery could be necessary, including ripping out some tile. I think they may have sensed that you would not be an easy person to deal with. Some are and some aren’t.

Op sorry you had a bad experience. For us Perry's was great. Bought French doors, garage entry door, and front door decorative glass...all great prices and workmanship! Way more knowledgeable, than Lowe's or Home Depot, better quality, as good or better prices!

We had Perry do several projects for us. The last one left a bad taste in our mouth, will not use them again. We ordered new doors from them. Kwikset sent us new handles to replace ones that were bad. The person who came to give us a bid included installing the handles. They insisted on charging us an extra $100 to put the handles on even though the bid included this. The woman in the office said they were a family owned business blah blah blah, none made sense to me but at that point the new doors were in and we were stuck.
