I believe only Saturday and Sunday, and NOT Friday as before, you may want to call or check a website just to confirm actual hours of operation.

EdFNJ 10-03-2020 05:04 PM

Yes they are. From what someone who went there and immediately left told me is to make sure you have full body PPE before entering. That was said by them in "partial" jest but with concern.

npwalters 10-03-2020 06:39 PM

yes, if a lack of masks bothers you (it doesn't me) then you should not go. It was less than half wearing masks

Bwolf1 10-04-2020 05:30 AM

Yes, but Sat and Sun only. Few people (including vendors) are wearing masks. I was there early so it was not crowded. Web site says it is open Fri. but it is not.

I was there just recently and all vendors wore masks as did all patrons. I didnt see one person without a mask

Magajane 10-04-2020 06:11 AM

Yes they are open. Be sure and wear a mask. I was there a couple weeks ago and no one working there was wearing one and very few people walking around were wearing any.

Denvercane 10-04-2020 07:00 AM

Not ALL vendors and not ALL shoppers. Don't use concrete words like all, never and always. Makes a liar out of yourself

Pedrocarrasco01@yahoo.com 10-04-2020 07:19 AM

Yes they are

I was there yesterday

GPGuar 10-04-2020 09:01 AM

I was there early yesterday and it was pretty busy, as the day wore on it seemed that more people were wearing masks. Not so much in the morning though. It was as busy as any normal Saturday pre vivid.

krdieter@aol.com 10-04-2020 09:06 AM

Yes, I was there last Sat.

Check their website below for current information.

Was there in August. Lots of mask wearers, but not much social distancing. Didn't see any so called deals.

Yes, if the lack of masks doesn’t bother you, definitely go.

Paper1 10-04-2020 11:58 AM

Did anyone who has been there know if the "Birdman" is back yet? Parrot needs haircut.

Mask-wearing is bound to increase now after the shocking news of the last few days.

It’s hard to figure these last 6 months. Why is wearing a mask such a big deal? A mask is not just for you but it’s also for your love ones and everybody else. It’s not a political statement it’s science. Wash your hands. Social distance, and wear a mask. Man, it’s not rocket science and lives are saved. Down the road we pray for a useful vaccine.

Market of Marion Update

I work there.
Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 pm
Winter ours are Fri, Sat. Sun. starting Fri. Nov. 6th
Currently Sat. And Sun. only.
I personally say don't get there before 9:00 am and not after 3:00 pm
Most vendors are not completely set up until then and usually leave by 3:00 pm
The Market says masks are preferred, not mandatory.
I wear a mask if customers come up to my display, other than that I don't set there 8 hours with my mask on.
If your are so concerned say away.

Market of Marion OPEN

Yes, it's open. Pretty crowded yesterday around noon. Great produce with some samples to try. prices vary between vendors...Wearing masks is Always a smart move especially when being less than 6 ft from others. Some great bargains! 😍 love it there!!

Vickim 10-04-2020 04:40 PM

Yes, went yesterday. I wore a mask but a lot of people did not

Mfrench 10-05-2020 06:28 AM

Yes

If you didn't see people without masks at this market, then you must have a serious vision problem. See if you can find a talking seeing eye dog.

I will use ALL because I didnt see one person without one. Not one. And it was a busy Saturday. And ALL vendors wore one. Yes, ALL. So, no one is a liar

rugbyjohn 10-05-2020 09:19 AM

Didn't call you a liar. I said you have a vision problem. Except for you, anyone who posted on here remarked at the lack of masks. Exactly what I saw there on a Saturday about 11AM.

Samples. perfect! LOL. Ever watch some of the genius customers picking up the samples then putting them back for a "better" one there, or making a meal of them? Then some idiots spit their chewed sample rinds into their hand then into the bowl or box right next to the samples. The produce section THERE at MARION MARKET is probably the #1 reason for wearing full head to toe PPP there ! That one aisle should be shut down by the Marion County health dept. Marion County is by far the worst in the tri-county area for virus cases. Also many of the PRODUCE SELLERS are seasonal farm workers selling extra stuff (overripe, damaged etc) and these folks are some of the highest risk folks in the entire country along with the poultry workers. Visit Marion Market but beware of the produce aisle & sellers. Washing the stuff at home is fine but being in that aisle is looking for problems. Unfortunately statistics in Marion County doesn't say where their 10,000 cases originated.

WOW, I'd like to start a pool on that one. Not a liar, just a bit of hyperbole. "ALL" (sellers, customers, everyone) at Marion Market were wearing masks ?? ..... not a chance. "ALL" won't even wear masks at Walmart where they "require" it.
