Several years ago, I bought that exact clock as a retirement gift for a friend. It is always a topic of conversation when he has guests.

Just do a search for "retirement clock" and you could get one for your own house!

Terrible...so what it gives the day....i want the date and the month

Mrprez 10-15-2020 04:15 PM

Got one. Wife received it as a gift when she retired from the US Courts.

Mleeja 10-15-2020 05:23 PM

Does it have to be adjusted for DST?

We have one. My wife kept asking what day it was.

LOL.....often, if it wasn't for my pill box I'd be hard pressed to tell you which day of the week it was (and having two T's and two S's
on the strip makes it challenging)

laughter is the best medicine

For those that are very active LIKE MOST of the Villagers, this clock would not needed. :a040:
We have schedules for just about everyday in the calendar. :coolsmiley:
Monday - Group Golf
Tuesday - Pickle Ball with friends
Wednesday - Art Class
Thursday - Group Pickle Ball
Friday - Golf with friends
Saturday - Group Golf
Sunday - Sleep in (some go to church)

I have one also.

We moved here 18 years ago, and the Villages/Daily Sun used to deliver USA Today also. The third time I called to complain about not getting a USA Today paper, and the sweet lady gently explained to me it was Saturday, our son realized I really needed that clock!
