Bell’s Seasoning

Does anyone know or has seen Bell’s Seasoning?
I use it for my stuffing and cannot find it this year.
It comes in a small yellow box with a turkey on it.
Thanks!

Pack of 3, $13 at walmart.com

what time is dinner??

Gpsma 11-10-2020 06:03 PM

Lol...before I got a real career, i was a salesman for food companies. One of our products was Bells Seasonings. Wouldnt sell much during the year but once Thanksgiving came you couldnt keep it in stock

tophcfa 11-10-2020 09:17 PM

Thanksgiving stuffing would not be right without Bells. It’s in all the supermarkets where our home is up north. If you can’t find it in Florida, it’s always available from Amazon. A tablespoon of Bells will also help enhance the flavor of your gravy stock. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving : )

Bells All Natural Seasoning - 1 oz - Walmart.com - Walmart.com

patfla06 11-11-2020 01:56 AM

Publix doesn’t seem to carry it anymore and sold out at Walmart.

I ordered it directly from Bells.com.
My Mom always used it, then me & now our Son.

Thank you for your responses.
Hoping everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Two Bills 11-11-2020 05:29 AM

As an aside.
When preparing turkey to roast, is it the American way to put the stuffing inside the rear end, and sausage meat at neck end, cover bird with bacon as many do in UK?
Do you cook stuffing/sausage meat in separate dish/tray?

gbarry 11-11-2020 05:54 AM

We found it at WinnDixie at Pinellas last Sunday

TGIF32162 11-11-2020 06:05 AM

If you can’t find it, I have a box in my cabinet.

Ksarracco 11-11-2020 06:05 AM

I have some. Got it locally but don’t remember where. Publix will order.

agnesd 11-11-2020 06:12 AM

I thought I was the only one who used it LOL! When I see it I buy a couple of boxes - I use a lot in my stuffing and inside and over the bird! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Seabreeze2017 11-11-2020 06:15 AM

Bells seasoning

I bring mine back from New England. I couldn't find it down here.

Fanfaron2020 11-11-2020 06:17 AM

Supposed to be at Publix, Target or Walmart. Always Google the product you're looking for.

Bob in Fishers 11-11-2020 06:30 AM

Amazon has it

jamorela 11-11-2020 06:30 AM

Never heard of it. What’s in it? I use sage and poultry seasoning in my stuffing.

sjpdjp 11-11-2020 07:17 AM

Amazon carries it.

Hidnscreen 11-11-2020 07:19 AM

They have it on Amazon if you can’t find it locally.

Bell poultry seasoning

Bells is probably sold out due to COVID. So many folks are not traveling to family this year and cooking.

Kgcetm 11-11-2020 08:15 AM

Consider Amazon.

Sassxu 11-11-2020 08:35 AM

Publix has it.

wiltma 11-11-2020 08:56 AM

I buy it every year in Publix. I usually stock up because you can’t always find it all year. My stuffing wouldn’t be the same without it

wiltma 11-11-2020 08:58 AM

It can be found at Publix around thanksgiving only but the fresh market usually has it all the time

BBrown 11-11-2020 09:42 AM

Found in Publix this morning.

Don’t look in seasonings. Front of store in Thanksgiving area. Canned Yams etc found on side

mrsscamp131 11-11-2020 09:45 AM

Publix has it. Stores around here only carry it during the holiday season. I usually stock up.

We call it Turkey Dressing, not stuffing, and it isn't stuffed since someone in the family read something about Salmonella. We cook it as a side casserole and I have prepared three different kinds...and served them all as choices. We had a son in law who liked cornbread, husband liked oyster and most who liked celery onion. NONE had sausage, but I am open to it. Sounds great. When I reached adulthood, all Thanksgivings were at MY house so I have no clue what other people eat.

Keep suggestions coming.

P.S. Does anyone put giblets in the dressing/stuffing? I boiled them for years and added them, now I give them to the kitties and put cooked ahead chicken in the dressing/stuffing.

it's a blend of various seasoning, including thyme & sage, like you already use. it's got this kind of distinct flavor, that once you have it, you'd probably add it again year after year. it's the flavor of Thanksgiving:icon_wink:

obxgal 11-11-2020 10:26 AM

You can find the recipe here Bell'''s Poultry/Stuffing Seasoning Recipe - Food.com

Catfancy 11-11-2020 11:21 AM

Know what you are talking about. Have not seen this in a few years, however, McCormicks makes poultry seasoning and I do believe it is close to Bells.

Thanks for that.
I believe that here also, the trend now is to cooking separate the 'dressing' because of the Salmonella threat.
We only have turkey at Christmas in UK.
I always liked the old way, as the 'stuffed' bird always tasted more moist.
Giblets were boiled down for gravy, then fed to dogs/cats.
Much prefer a nice leg of lamb myself!

Ele201 11-11-2020 11:48 AM

Amazon has it!

Hi. I checked on Amazon for you. It’s available there for $12 for two boxes. Free shipping if you’re a Prime member. And by the way, my mom used this when I was growing up! I remember the box with the Turkey on it!

The great thing about stuffing is the wide variety of recipes!! We have a sausage and chestnut stuffing which we have used for years. Started using canned chestnuts since they were already skinned. Have had to order the chestnuts from Amazon since we couldn't find them here at Publix, Fresh Market or Walmart.

I don’t cook my stuffing in the bird as they say it’s unsafe.

Rosemary, oregano, sage, ginger, marjoram, thyme and pepper

It’s the sage in it that just makes the stuffing.
