How late did (or will) you stay up this New Year Eve??

Probably all year long.

Next should be how early do you get up? For me 5:30 AM when the 48 years alarm clock goes off in my brain 🧠.:)

Usually in bed between 1:30am to 3am. Sleep 3-4 hours, 365. So 3am

Might make 10 30.

When we have the option of going to a party we will make it to midnight, otherwise no reason to stay up

Ouch.

Probably an extra hour. Living it up till 10pm!

One can hear the fireworks, but no visible sight. Lots of whooping, coming from neighbors.

The TV countdowns were so sad! Definitely not inspired to stay up late.

I stayed up ‘til 12:30. Watched three hours of the Eagles on their farewell tour from 2004, in Australia and then Cold Play live. Skipped around channels to see who was doing what and stumbled onto stupid NBC, who was celebrating “New Years Eve 2021”, 365 days too early.

Newbies here working on our new house all day.......in bed and asleep at 9:00!!!!

12:30 am. Watched the ball drop then went to bed. Times Square really looked weird and eerie this year without large crowds.

Went to bed in 2020 (10:00) and got out of bed in 2021 (6:00). Happy New Year to each of you.

I stayed up until after midnight by myself because hubby went to bed at 11pm. I watched the ball drop in Times Square and yes, it was pitiful. I'm glad, though, that first responders were able to attend. Let's pray that 2021 will be a better year and things will get back to normal.

We had champagne and goodies to eat and went to bed at 1 AM.Up at 7 AM ...we have a dog who has an internal alarm. LOL

typically we stay in, watching 3 stooges & pizza for dinner. this year though, the Hooligans were over in brownwood & we dared to stay up past 8pm, hehe

Gotta love it, New Years just wouldn’t be right without a few episodes of the thee stooges (with Curly of course) : )

Had a nice dinner at bonefish steak and lobster tail, good crowd but not overcrowded, our reservation was right on time , drove by LSL about 10:30 still people there, went back and watched Dick Clark (RIP)rocking New Year’s Eve , nice touch having lots of first responders, military , medical personal in the square , Frank Sinatra spreading the news, I hope we are all here for next year Happy New Year

Our last guests left at 2am last night. We went out to dinner, then played games, had drinks, did shots till around 1:30am! We went out to Ayuttaya in Ocala, the best Thai restaurant in the area. Fantastic experience!

Our Louisville Bonefish had a glitch in their reservation system that allowed unlimited reservations so we took a $30 voucher and went to Mitchells.
Good but not the same. Next year we hope to be at one of the Squares.

Me and 3 friends made it to 2:30AM feasting on New York City Katz Deli. Fond remembrances of my NY life. BUT now I live in Paradise!

What's your secret for not sleeping at all, for a year? :1rotfl:

Watching the ball drop in Times Square (had it recorded and watched it the morning after), I was distracted by looking at a Kia SUV on a huge marquis below the ball. Does Times Square have advertising every year when the ball drops?

I noticed that also, the advertising was actually covering the ball dropping, so we couldn't even see it. Seemed kind of overkill on the advertising.

At 2:30a fair amount of cars and carts still on the roads. By 3:15 most found their way home

I considered going to see the Hooligans but we haven't gone to the square since this all started, so we kept it status quo. Although I did look at the webcam and people as usual were sitting up their chairs at 4pm. At 5pm when the music started the security had stopped people going in and about 50 were waiting in line behind the second bar, and that bar was also open.

I stayed up until 1am, but my normal time is 12:15.

It's been a long time since we have stayed up late for the new year. Golf trips to Myrtle Beach at new years with country club group of 50 always ended with someone turning the clock to 10 o'clock and pretending. Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise, right?
