Brownwood to Bradford by golf cart

I am considering new construction in the Bradford area and wondered if anyone can tell me how long it would take to get to Brownwood by golf cart?

Thanks

15-20 minutes

It would depend on where you buy in Bradford, that is a pretty large village, Depending on who's in front of you it's a 12 minute drive in a car, longer in a golf car, from Warm Springs to the Paddock Square entrance via Megisson and it could be up to 15 minutes more to get to Megisson from the southeast sections of Bradford so I would say it could go as high as 30 minutes.

Looking at the maps I would guess about 30 minutes as well. I figure someone must have timed it.

Thank you

I live in Bradford close to the Rec Center; in my cart, it’s quicker for me to go north to Hillsborough, across to Buena Vista and south on BV to Brownwood rather than take the Meggison Rd. route.

Best bet is to use the villages gps app

I have found 5 mph as average speed is pretty close. 5 miles away equals 25 minutes by golf cart

We live in Bradford and it takes us 23 minutes to get to Brownwood by cart.

I live in Bradford - first time golf cart owner - and, although, I have The Villages GPS app - I find the plain Villages App (using the ‘Destinations’ tab (and selecting directions by Golf Cart)) better for me - provides very accurate directions. Took me 20+ minutes and was a great experience.

We've been shopping homes too and I wanted to know commute times by golf cart before deciding. Here are the times I recorded during my research from a week or so ago. I don't have an actual time from Bradford but hopefully these will be helpful. By the way, we have an older rental cart that does about 19 mph top speed. I know there are faster out there because I get passed frequently.

From Lake Sumter Landing to Oceola Hills (Deskin Ln North) 25 Minutes
From Oceola Hills (Deskin Ln North) to Chitty Chatty Neighborhood Rec Center 8 Minutes

From Oceola Hills (Deskin Ln North) to Brownwood via Hillsborough Trail 17 minutes
From Bonifay CC to Chitty Chatty Req Center 18 minutes
From Chitty Chatty Rec Center to intersection of Megisson and Morse 8 minutes
From intersection of Megisson and Morse to Water Lily Bridge 17 minutes
From Water Lily Bridge to Brownwood 8 minutes
From Brownwood to Evans Prairie CC 9 minutes
From Evans Prairie CC to Palmer Legends CC 23 minutes

I drove from the southern part of Bradford to Brownwood in 30 minutes(down to Megisson, over and up to Brownwood). Since it is basically a single lane road, the rate limiting factor is the density of the cart traffic.

I think it very nice for people to post travel times. Those who are passing your golf cart, if you are running at the regular speed of 19 or 20 miles an hour are breaking the law, not that the law matters much anymore.

Get the VillagesGPS for $7 and deduct 25% on the travel time. The free village app is no good compared to the private app.

Chitty Chatty to Brownwood

We live in Chitty Chatty, right next to Bradford. We go over the Chitty Chatty bridge to Morse to Hillsboro Trail, to Buena Vista, to Paddock Square. About 20 minutes & a nice ride.
We’ll probably also go over the Brownwood bridge too. It’s a little longer, but it’s a beautiful ride & fun to see the development going on. Very cool!😎

Fair warning: I WILL be passing the guy going 5 mph. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

We took the trip from the start of the path in Brownwood all the way through and around back over the Chitty Chatty bridge to Belle Glade restaurant was 45 minutes.

GolfGirl122 01-11-2021 09:58 AM

From Brownwood Bridge - around the loop and back to Brownwood is one hour. Not going fast, just 15 -20.

Watch Things Go South at The Villages with Jerry and Linda on You Tube. They took the trip by golf cart so you can see the area and I think it was about a 25 minute drive

Is driving along Hillsborough in a golf cart really a "nice ride"?

Villages Kahuna 01-12-2021 11:29 AM

Wow! I knew that The Villages was longer from north to south than the City of Chicago, but the answers to OP’s question suggests that would take almost 90 minutes to get from Bradford to Spanish Springs. Distance-wise that would be close to the distance from Hammond, Indiana to Evanston. Needless to say, that’s a trip that won’t be on my schedule!

I did not know that The Villages is longer from north to south than the City of Chicago. Are you a former Chicago area resident? Hammond, Indiana to Evanston -- that commute would be brutal. And I think driving from my home in Schaumburg to my office in Northbrook is not the best (but I've been working from home again since mid-October).
