Has anybody using the site sumterfl.saferestart.net received an appointment?
The advice has been to not put in your SS number and click no insurance.
We put is all ones for the SS spaces and clicked no on the insurance question. We did get a screen stating our information was accepted and approved with the date and time of confirmation. The same page stated we would be called when the next available appointments were applied. We also received a confirming email with the same information. Has anybody used this site and actually got an appointment? With such low numbers of dose availability I suspect the wait will be longer than we think!! So now we wait..... |
A friend who signed up yesterday, got an email this afternoon with a "First Vaccine Date" of 1/20 and a "Second Vaccine Date" of 2/17.
My husband signed up yesterday but didn't provide any SS (entered 0's) or insurance information and received a text this afternoon to go in and sign up for an appointment. First available was next Wednesday but he can work with that! Good luck.

no dice when we tried
Signed up 1/11,@1900, just got text first vaccine date available is 1/22. So they are moving along. But in our friend group some couples only one got the text/email. Must be a random program sending out text
Signed up 1/11 at 11:00 am, was "approved," but nothing further so far.
I signed up and got (step 1) registration approved 12:57pm on 11 Jan; I had entered 00-000-0000 and no insurance to the registration process. I got a text from GMR at 6:36pm on 12 Jan instructing me to go to the step 1/step 2 web site, select step 2 and enter the code given in the text message. After answering a few general health questions, I received the okay and received an email was then received with my two appointment dates, times, and the location. My wife who successfully registered only 6 minutes after I completed mine has yet to receive a text/email note to complete step 2. That seems to be a rather common thing. It's almost like random selection as some have suggested. We will all get selected eventually but the need for patience is certainly difficult to absorb. BTW: giving the Medicare number (or insurance number/group number) at the time of the immunization will not be an issue - that will be perfectly okay.

Used the site. Got first shot today and appointment for second. Easy peazy. :)
Three of my friends received appointments. One put all zeroes for social security number.
I couldn't even pull up the site. Might as well be trying to win the lottery.
I called the Village health number and they said it was a legitimate site to make appointments. They also said check the Sumter County sheriff’s online page and he agrees.
I went through the process I have a first appointment for this Saturday and the second one for February. EZPEZE! |
Yes... we got ours yesterday.

Went through step 2 with the code for us and answered all the questions for both of us. Got an email with date(1/23) and time for my wife buttttt, nothing for me. And my wife's second shot is 2/20. Tried entering my code in again and it said invalid code. So, guess I just have to wait and see if I get it.:pray: |
Where does your friend have to go to get it ?

According to a news release. They have released the dosages they have been withholding for the second vaccination. This is the reason that more vaccinations are now available.

What I am wondering, of course, is why something like this wasn’t developed and in place nationwide ready for use whenever a vaccine was ready. If it can be done now, it could have been done six months ago and sent out to every state and county, ready to turn on. How hard was it to anticipate that this would be necessary? |
Signed up and got the appointment for my wife and I the next day. Going on the 15th and the 11th. Put down all the information they asked for. Probably shouldn’t have, but we were desperate.
I used the site and got an appointment 3 days later. What happens when I show up for the appointment remains to be seen. I’ve heard the sites can be a confused mess
Yes I have my appt. It works. You can enter 0 for your ssn
Yes, going for first dose on Monday.
I used them.
I signed up early, received a confirmation email complete with a barcode for my identity which they scanned when I checked in. I got my shot yesterday (Tuesday) at their location in a field behind fresh market. It was extremely organized and efficient, it worked very well.

Interesting read on how it alters The Body's RNA... |
We signed up on 1/11, gave all of our correct information and received our first shot yesterday on 1/13 and have our second shot scheduled in 28 days.
Yes, I got my first and second appointments for next week. I put in all zeros for SSN.
I got an appointment for the 21st of Jan. I did not give SS# or insurance info.
Poor choice of words or a fundamental misunderstanding of how mRNA vaccines work. Keep reading.

Has anyone asked why our Social Security numbers and copy of insurance card and not our Medicare card is required?
Yes, my husband used this site and now has an appt for vaccine #1 on Jan 24 and vaccine #2 on Feb 21. He registered on the site on Jan 11 and got notification of appt on Jan 13. (Would have preferred sooner but at least he’s scheduled for an appt.)
If your confirmation code has a zero or a letter "O" in it, look closely. It is most likely a zero.
Both my wife and I had to make that change to get the confirmation to work. |

The site is legitimate. We had the same concerns and even contacted the sheriff’s office, the county, and Global. The we filled out forms and searched id theft coverages ..just in case. Got email. Shots at 1:30 Yesterday. Location is near Fresh Market and extremely well run. Have auto and golf cart lanes, traffic assistance, tablet computers, and very good medical staff. We arrived, stayed in our car, rolled down the window, answered a few questions, relaxed the arm, poke, and then drove to the observation lot. In and out in less than an hour. We have a reservation for the second shot in 4 weeks.
This could have been announced a better way, but let’s give Sumter County and others credit for doing an amazing job. I believe DeSantis opened the site the morning of our shot. The address is picky. It must be exact. Don’t forget https:// |
My husband and I signed up Monday and both of us now have our vaccines scheduled.
Yes and yes!!
Applied on the site yesterday afternoon and last night my husband and I got two appointments for the shot and followup shot. Easy
Signed up for ours on the first night and my wife and I are getting our shots today.
Signed up Monday, was accepted and approved but have not yet received a date.
