Hip leg pain
When I try to lift up left leg to put on sock etc it hurts because it won't bend. Right is fine. What type of Dr do I see?
Just my humble opinion. I would start with a neurologist with the idea that the hip pain and mobility problems could possibly stem from a spine/disc problem.
Start with your primary care physician who should be able to determine with a history and exam whether your problem is orthopedic, rheumatologic, or neurologic etc. And it is even possible that a primary care doctor might be able to provide effective therapy. Not every illness needs a sub-specialist.

How active are you? Alot of ez chair time can lead to clots which can cause pain. If nit active, go walk a couple times a day to get blood flowing.
Start w/PCP (Primary Care Physician); if unavailable - use the ‘Call a Nurse’ service - provided by your insurance; or schedule a Dr. Phone/Video call.
You can always go to an Urgent care facility, too. I certainly would not take advice from social media or Google searches. It may be something minor - or may be indication of something that needs special treatment. |
Primary care who would possibly do a referral to an Orthopedic Surgeon.
With my hip pain, I went to a sports doctor, got an x-ray from him which showed a bone spur on hip bone. Not sitting too long is a must to prevent the seizing of the hip for me. Lots of glutes, thigh stretching and psoas massage/release too. That's what worked/works for me.

Physical medicine rehab to start .. you might need PT.. ask your PCP for a referral..
Otherwise..check our Unova on rolling acres. |

Ask your primary care physician. It their job to refer you to the appropriate specialist.
Who did your thoracic ablation procedure?
I would consult your local GP first. They can do an exam and get x-rays which will then allow them to recommend appropriate next steps.
