Leesburg Gun Show

Anyone been to Leesburg Gun Show??
I see there is one this weekend.

Many vendors??

I did not go to a gun show 2020 and not this year so far because of the virus. I went to the Leesburg show in 2019 and it really wasn't worth the effort or entry fee. The gun show held at the Lake County fairgrounds is a much better show, bigger venue and better selection of firearms and accessories. The gun show held at the Orlando Fair Grounds is worth the time, big selection. Hopefully once vaccinated I will be able to go there.

Thanks
That's what I was afraid of.
I did get an email from the promoter, he says 160 tables.
Not sure I'm believing.

I have in the past several time and it was a waste of time and money. You have to go to a large show like Orlando or maybe Ocala.

Most are NOT firearms or ammunition for sure. Trinkets, tee shirts, pocket books and housewares LOL

I have several pistols and shotguns and an AR15. Why would anyone buy another when you cannot find ammo for 9MM, 380, 45 .223, .556 and when you do it is very expensive. $39 for a box of 50 rounds of 9MM at Core in Ocala.

Jus looking for a compact.
There are a few at Shooters World.

Ammo is expensive right now, but I'm hoping not to shoot. :icon_wink:

If you are looking for a gun, this show is not the best. The vendors are overpriced.

I find its better to shop on the internet. There are FFLs here that will do the transfer for you.

Compact (good choice)

[QUOTE=dewilson58;1894872]Jus looking for a compact.
There are a few at Shooters World.

I would recommend comparing prices online. I just bought my 1st gun online in December. I found a magazine article with the 10 Best Online Gun Dealers. I was very pleased with the whole process. I purchased from kyguns.com (Kentucky Guns) but also checkout Palmettostatearmory.com, midwayusa.com, rkguns.com, brownells.com.
Let me know if you need any other info.

Gunsmith

A bit off topic but any recommendations on very good independent handgun gunsmiths locally?

Compact

Look at Sig 365 , super nice size. Sights are no snag. Good capacity. Worth a look.

That's my next acquisition. :coolsmiley:

Also try gunbroker.com It's the EBay of gun sites. You'll still need to transfer to a local FFL but there are many high volume dealers with usually pretty good prices.

Local Gunsmith

Highly recommend HNR Gunworks over in Inverness. Have had them work on a couple of guns. Good people to work with on any gun issues.

If looking for a compact nine, check out the Springfield Armory Hellcat.
It fits in my pocket.

I just got the Ruger Security9, a very nice and comfortable mid size

That’s the only thing holding guns sales back right now (and gun sales are still soaring, despite the ammo shortage). If ammo was readily available then guns sales would be insane.

I hear people complaining about it daily; no ammo = no point in buying another firearm.

When I was collecting guns in the past, I bought quite a few collectible guns that were never fired and I knew if I fired them it would lower their value.
So ammo availability was not an issue.
