Closets.
Any recommendations for closet company? I took a pass on the wire racks, now I need to find a closet company that will also shelve pantry. The design center did offer an alternative, Inspired something, but I really wasn’t impressed. Anyone do California Closets? Thanks.

When we bought we went to a ton of open houses and picked from the huge inventory that was available. We do have the wire racks in our closets, all 6 of them which are great. That said I believe both Home Depot and lowes has designers and installers that can take care of that. Beyound that search the web to see who is around.

We used David from Specialized Closet Storage Solutions for four closets about a year ago. Still happy with his designs that met our needs. 407-718-6818. Reasonable prices.
|
We also used The Container Store. Flexible design that we can change as needs change. Take a diagram of your closet to their showroom and have fun looking at all the options while their design team helps you design the closet of your dreams. Non of that crappy 'wrapped' cabinetry. Better quality product IMO.

Home Depot is trying to break into the market for semi-custom closets using prefab kits which are much the same as those used by California Closets. It has special pricing at the moment which appears to be less than its competitors. The installers are HD employees and not outside contractors

Custom Closets
I highly recommend Dave Fackelman. He did my master closet a few years ago when I moved in. Great work!

Inspired Closets 352 748 0770 did ours. We are VERY happy with the results. Quality stuff, just like Cal. Closets. Also, love the storage unit they made for our garage.

Watch the Installation - Closet Crafters
I have used Closet Crafters on a couple of occasions. Good product, but the last installation took three tries to get things close to correct so I would not use again.

They were prompt and did a great job |
Quickly tired of the wireracks. We used Custom Home Closet in Wildwood. Good service in the store; great installation guy, completed his work in 1/2 day. Completely satisfied with their work. Lots more space & shelving.

My wife had two bedroom closets done over. They took out the top shelf and clothes rod and put in custom shelving. When they finished, there was more clothes hanging space than before, and still tons of shelving space. She also had pull-out drawers installed in her lower kitchen cabinets.
The work was done by Chris Arnold of All-Ways Closets (352-243-2513). The workmanship is excellent, and he shows up on schedule. Highly recommended. You will be "super pleased". |
Before you decide, get a quote from 'Affordable Closets'. They did all three of our bedroom closets and redid our kitchen Pantry cabinet shelves with pull out drawers. Best decision we made.

If you don't mind a bit of DIY you can use the IKea design system (available online) for closet organizers. You will have to pick the material up in either Orlando or Tampa. Cost will be about 25% of other installed systems.

Has anyone found a full service closet design company that pulls the wire systems, patches and paints, and then installs the new system?
I went to one and taking out the old closet was included only if they took it out the same day. So if I want the closets to look new and not dingy I need to hire a handy man to dismantle the old system, hire a painter to patch and paint, and then have the closet company come in and assemble the new closet. Perhaps I’m looking for a closet general contractor? |
