St Timothy's is the exact opposite of a non-denominational church, Gracie. It is absolutionally not what she is seeking.

If you're not already familiar, here's a little bit about the Unity Spiritual Philosophy. There is a Unity Spiritual Center in Fruitland Park.

Maybe she hasn't been there. I find it lovely. It isn't a denomination. It is good old fashioned Roman Catholic and I am proud to be one. So are many family members and many friends.

I was teasing her a little, get it??? St. Timothy???? Her name is IRISH GIRL??? I am allowed to invite and welcome people to my nice church. I am a person too.

Et cum spiritu tuo, Blueash.

Here is a little bit about the original St. Timothy. (St. just means "holy" or "blessed" or even just "loved".)

St. Timothy was a timid, affectionate young man, and a faithful follower of St. Paul. He is part of the early Church. We celebrate January 26 as his feast day.

Timothy was the son of a Greek father and a Jewish mother. His convert mother raised him as a Christian. Born in Lystra, in present day Turkey, he probably embraced the Christian faith during St. Paul’s first visit to Lystra. On a return trip in the year 50 A.D., Paul found Timothy so esteemed by the local Christians that he asked Timothy to join him in spreading the Gospel on his missionary journeys. He was consecrated a priest and eventually became the first Bishop of Ephesus, a thriving city of the Roman Empire. St. John Damascene, in 675 A.D. wrote that Sts. Timothy and John, the beloved disciple, were witnesses to Mary’s Assumption.

Timothy died a martyr in the year 97A.D. Because of his frail health he is the patron of those with stomach disorders. St. Paul writes, “Stop drinking water only; take a little wine for the good of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.” (I Timothy 5:23). St. Timothy is the co-writer of Thessalonians, 2 Corinthians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon.

Hi Gracie, I was raised in the Catholic denomination too. My confirmation name is Jude.

Here is an interesting article about the Catholic denomination.

Thank you. I appreciate your invitation. A catholic church would not be a good fit for me.
Happy Easter.

Hi. I am new to area. Just moved to Villages this week. I am going to try a church called Father’s House Christian Church in Leesburg today for 9am service. I can let you know what I think. I also have a great nondenominational church back home that I’m really going to miss.

The Village Church is a newly started nondenominational church that is growing quickly! They meet at Mystic Ice Cream on Sunday mornings (usually at 10am) today (Easter) at 9 or 10:30 am.

You are most welcome to attend any time! There are various groups to fellowship with throughout the week as well.

Praying you soon find a church home🙂

The Daily Sun has a long list of local churches in the Sunday edition.

Village Park Campus of First Baptist, Leesburg is where we attend. We love it there and although it's "Baptist" it very much reminds us of our Non-Denominational Church up north. It's located just outside Village of Pine Ridge on 466A. Give us a try!

Ginsanders 04-04-2021 05:57 AM

Do you know where in Brownwood?

BarbaraSovey 04-04-2021 05:57 AM

New Life Christian Church 4701 E County RD 462, Wildwood. There are 2 services...9:00am and 10:30am. Hope to see you there!

Church of the Springs, they have 3 campuses. You would love it there. I love Pastor Ron at the Ocala campus on Baseline Road. Check out their Facebook page for info on services.

kevko05 04-04-2021 06:58 AM

Come visit us at the Church of Christ in Lady Lake. We are a small congregation that meets every Sunday Morning and evening ( 10:30 am, and 6 pm ) for service and bible study Sunday at 4:45 pm and Thursday evenings at 8 again for bible study. If you love the Lord, you'll love our church.

Nordhagen 04-04-2021 07:12 AM

We attend Calvary Chapel Villages. Very friendly and Bible based teaching. 10AM
Happy Resurrection Sunday😎

D.Bolen 04-04-2021 07:15 AM

The congregation I attend with is not non-denominational, but I have a one-page document in Word entitled "How is Jesus' Sacrifice 'A Ransom for Many'" with over 20 scriptures referenced that you may appreciate reading on this special day when many are celebrating Easter, no matter which church you attend. If you would like me to send you a copy, feel free to email me at deborabolen@comcast.net

If someone asks about a nondenominational church, I can only assume people who suggest a denominational church are too busy listening to themselves first and foremost.

MrGolf 04-04-2021 07:41 AM

Yes. Live Oaks Community Church southern campus will be located in the Wildwood Country Resort facility at the current end of Buena Vista where it intersects with 44. It is scheduled to open in May.

doctorch 04-04-2021 07:58 AM

Good News Church 400 Executive Blvd, Leesburg. Head east on 44...turn right at Wayne’s Auto Body. The church will be down on your left. 10AM service and today will be outside. Bring your chairs or sit in your car and listen on FM. FB streaming also.

Rcolby7 04-04-2021 08:17 AM

I take nondenominational to be not belonging to any organized religion but still believing in a higher force. Jews, Christians, Muslims even aethists can belong. Based on peace and good will to all mankind. One in Los Angeles was called Agape but different now.

judy.culberson@yahoo.com 04-04-2021 08:22 AM

Just curious...what denomination is the Holy Word of God?

Definifion

Definition of denominational "a religious organization whose congregations are united in their adherence to its beliefs and practices" ] To assert the Catholic Church is "non denominational" is truly a misleading statement.I will not add anything further since it would probably be redundant to other comments to come?:ohdear:

Kcwombat 04-04-2021 09:55 AM

I moved here in September and started going to The Father’s House in late October. I love it there! I walked in and my heart just opened up. I was at the 9AM service today as well. Hope you found it as wonderful as I did

I believe Fairwinds Church on CR466 just east of Morse Road is a Non-Denominational Church.

Dantes 04-04-2021 10:11 AM

Soul Harbor in Bellevue off 301 N. it’s worth the drive they have a good web page and Facebook so you can check them out
They preach the truth not what makes you feel good or what you want to hear the truth as the word of God

I am going to try this one next week. How do the 3 locations differ? Different Pastors, message? Younger crowd vs. older?

Yes, and Unitarian Universalist in Summerfield fits that bill. Unity in Fruitland Park also works, except for the atheist part, but Unity would still not turn anyone away.
