Another BORING Jeopardy guest host

Another BORING guest host for Jeopardy. Yikes. Aaron Rodgers is putting me to sleep. Another 2 weeks of avoiding the show. :(

Stu from NYC 04-06-2021 09:12 PM

Give him a bit more time he might grow into the role

But I'll be asleep if that happens Stu.

oldtimes 04-07-2021 06:54 AM

I think he is very professional and keeps the focus on the game and not himself.

dtennent 04-07-2021 07:04 AM

Is this a strategy by the producers to make Ken Jennings look good?

I totally agree. IMO he is doing a very good job. I definitely prefer him over Ken.

I agree. They all have done that and I am glad. I was afraid they would get someone who tried to do stand up comedy. That show the WAY it was always run is what I am hoping for.

I am not a big football fan and didn't know who it was until husband told me. He certainly is handsome. Aaron Rodgers.

Garywt 04-07-2021 09:29 AM

I don’t watch the show but I am sure Alex was not what he became his first week of the show.

IRISHGIRL3US 04-07-2021 09:39 AM

I agree, boring! So far Dr. Ozz was the best one. No one will replace Alex. It's the voice, body language...

Taltarzac725 04-07-2021 11:06 AM

I enjoyed the first day of Aaron Rodgers on Jeopardy. Missed the 2nd one as I needed to do stuff last night.

racedaygal 04-07-2021 11:07 AM

His voice is so monotonous that it puts me to sleep. Definitely prefer Ken Jennings. But I think the Executive Producer did a great job as well.

Trebek would probably pick the Executive Producer as he makes the contestants the center of attention.

Aaron Rogers does have a monotonous voice, hoping he will do better but second night not much better than the first.

Bjeanj 04-07-2021 12:10 PM

What is it you’re looking for?

JC and John 04-07-2021 12:17 PM

Agree, Boring!

The Executive Producer did the best job thus far.

Completely agree.

Northwoods 04-07-2021 09:58 PM

Well you are all wrong. Aaron is the best so far (OK... yes... I am a Packer fan).

But let me just say... this is a football player that can articulate the questions and maybe even understand the questions and answers. How many "big-time" professional football players can do that?

I can't see him giving up his big salary to host Jeopardy or even give up his personal time when not playing football to do this. But I think he is a positive example of the NFL.

Mardarlowe 04-08-2021 05:16 AM

Now you know how Danica felt

I think the Executive Producer was the best so far. Was relaxed and moved the show along. Found Ken Jennings a little stiff and repetitive in approach.

Or the producer Mike Richards was very good as well
I just read that Anderson Cooper was on the list.....that’s a big fat not watching that week

jojo 04-08-2021 06:42 AM

I vote for the executive producer.

I like Aaron Rogers, great quarter back, So far I think the show's producer was the best.:coolsmiley:

4557Spahr 04-08-2021 07:12 AM

Executive producer was by far the best. He should be because he knows the processes of the game and the expectations.

Haole boy 04-08-2021 07:26 AM

Or Steve Harvey

Dr Winston O Boogie jr 04-08-2021 07:56 AM

I haven't been watching but I've read several opinions and they have al been that he's doing a great job.
When and on what channel is Jeopardy on? I may have to start watching.

Tmarkwald 04-08-2021 08:11 AM

hmmm, would Cheech and Chong be appropriate?

vmloya 04-08-2021 09:30 AM

Yes, the Executive Producer, Mike Richardson, I think is his name, was the best guest host. He's so much like Alex in his hand gestures, smile, and body movements!

xcaligirl 04-08-2021 10:12 AM

I watch the show more for the contestants than the host.

BillyJ 04-08-2021 10:59 AM

Ken was good, but I think the executive producer was the best.

I absolutely agree. Of all the people out there, why in the world did they pick him?

2BNTV 04-08-2021 11:32 AM

When you have the best, (Alex Trebek), the rest are always going to be downhill.

I just hope they pick someone who can do a reasonably credible job.

So far all of of them have been good with Mike Richards leading the pack, (no pun intended for Aaron Rodgers).

To me, it's all about the questions. IMHO

They started going downhill after Mike and looking at the ones coming up the trend will continue

Maybe that's the plan. After it's all said and done, they hope we'll be happy to have Mike back.

I enjoy watching Aaron Rogers on the football field and in the State Farm commercials. But he always plays the "dry" character on SF ads. I think it comes across better on a commercial than on a show like Jeopardy.

brunogal 04-08-2021 11:54 AM

NOOOOO! But he's so hot!! Just mute the TV and feast your eyes!!
