Golf Ride Along?
My elderly father will be visiting later this month and he doesn’t play golf. Does anyone know if a non player can ride in my cart while I play an executive course. He’ll have a guest card but I don’t want to pay for him to golf if he’s not playing.

Yes he can. When you check in at the starter shack, let them know you have a spectator. They will give you a tag (if they have any)that you attach to your cart. No cost to you at all. My wife rides along with me all the time. It gives her much amusement.

Thanks for the information- that’s great to know!

My wife doesn't really golf but I've taken her as a "ride-along" a few times on various executive courses. She brings binoculars and watches the birds. Some of our courses here are really quite pretty.

Wish I could get my wife to ride along.
Unfortunately she still plays, and 99/100 times, wins!:ohdear: |

Here is my ride along partner when I play the executives late evening and the courses are nearly empty.

Oddly enough...

If you think about it really really hard , I'm sure you can think of a couple of reasons why pets are not allowed. |

Just find a starter and ambassador willing to look the other way.........
I think they should be called in for retraining. |

When they make an exception for someone's dog because it's just SUCH a good girl!!!! then at some point, they're going to have to explain why they aren't allowing someone else's dog. Or five other dogs. Or ten, or everyone who has one to have a "bring a dog to golf day" event. But, topcha, now you know. you're not supposed to bring your dog on the golf course at any time. Will you abide by the rule, or will you keep bringing your dog and just expect the employees to risk their jobs to make an exception in your case? |
OP’s simple question has long since been answered. The thread went off the rails taking about a ride along pet.
