Appliance scratch & dent
 

Hello everyone... I am looking to see if there are any scratch & dent appliance stores in or around The Villages. I am looking for a washer and dryer and don't really need a "brand new" set and just want one that will get the job done.

Search "used appliances"

Order a new one. The delivery folks usually will scratch and/or dent for no extra charge

Call Appliance Direct in Fruitland Park. They may have a dented unit.

Another suggestion is to search on the Best Buy website, and select the "open box" option.

Appliance direct in Leesburg on route 27 / 441 right by the Dodge dealer. They have plenty of floor models but they also sell new and are definitely the cheapest around. I bought from them three or four times over 24 years and they have extremely fast delivery service usually, one time they actually followed me home and I got my new refrigerator in 1 hour

Gas or Electric?

Check with Lowe's on 466A. They have some in stock. Got a nice Maytag washer last year.

For What You Will Pay For A USED Washer and Dryer That most likely will be 5 TO 8 YEARS OLD AND MAY LOOK NEWER DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Go to Home Depot, Lowes, or best Buy and Buy a NEW Floor Model or a Scratch & Dent with a NEW WARRANTY and you will still save hundreds of dollars. Good Luck Making the Right Decision

I did just that - went to both Lowes and Home Depot. They have NO floor models or Scratch and dents available. They rarely do any more.

My advice is to try Sears Outlet (now called American Freight) if you can go get them. There are a few in Central Florida.

Try the Sears store on 42.

MVB Appliances in Ocala. We bought a Samsung washer and dryer for half the retail price. The dryer door has a slight scratch on it, hardly shows, and it's in the laundry room anyway!

Unfortunately because of the Pandemic appliances are hard to come by. Keep checking with Lowe's they usually have the dented appliances on the floor in front of the appliance display. But again because things are hard to come by I have not seen any on display.

Appliance Direct in Leesburg has scratch & dents and there is nothing wrong with them except for a ding somewhere. Like you said, on a washer/dryer, who cares. You just have to ask them for a scratch & dent model.

Appliance Direct has scratch and dent and reasonable prices with delivery.

Tried to buy reasonably priced appliances at Lowe’s Home Depot Best Buy and those near the villages but found another place north of Orlando that delivers here for very reasonable prices and only $99 delivery and set up and removal of old appliances (that even included all the hoses etc. for setup). Made a call to them explaining what I wanted and bought them over the phone. Prices were so much cheaper! Milcarsky’s Appliance 407-830-6400. They are family-owned and take a great deal of pride in their business… Good luck!

Lowes has a scratch and dent area to the side of the appliance department. We got our microwave there at less than half the price. Works just fine.
