great rocket launch

great view this morning of the rocket launch... first time I've ever witnessed the separation of the rocket stages so clearly.. then just being able to see stage 1 just slowly start to descend as stage 2 continued to the space station

That was the most spectacular launch I've ever seen. Perfectly clear conditions and the big circle as it went through thin clouds was amazing.

Agree

It was amazing! From main engine cut off and when second stage started - it was like a giant spotlight turned on in the sky! And seeing the fireworks of the first stage as it adjusted and descended was equally cool! My son works at SpaceX in Cali on third shift and he was watching outside the control room. Sent him pics of the spotlight and he hadn’t seen something like that either.

One could very clearly see the first stage separation and then it's return while the capsule (second stage) continued to climb. And, a picture of what remained in the sky for many minutes.

Slashing the costs of space travel and future exploration, is a huge game changer. It's simply amazing to me, to be able to land a booster rocket on a drone recovery barge, so as to be able to reuse it later. Say what you will about Elon Musk, he's the closest thing we have in real life to Tony Stark.

I tried to video record it on my phone but all I got was a big orange ball.

I didn't notice the stages separating.

Thanks for the photos. Sorry I missed it.

This was the best photo and video I have ever taken. Watching on TV, doesn’t compare to the incredible view site this morning

Fantastic pic!

Dang I wish I'd gotten up earlier to see it. I thought it'd be the usual, but it sounds and looks like it wasn't the typical viewing. Loved the fact that it's a recycled rocket too. Crazy impressive.

Winston, you didn't stay and watch long enough

bowlingal 04-24-2021 06:29 AM

I was getting into my car at 6:30 am and saw this same exact (swirling clouds) sight in the sky. Couldn't imagine what I was seeing. Then, driving to work, I remembered there was a launch, which I forget to go outside and watch. So sorry I forgot the launch was taking place, especially since I was awake and could have gone outside. So freakin' amazing. Thanks for sharing pictures.

lstevenson1470 04-24-2021 04:39 PM

Yes, it was fantastic! My husband and I want to go to Titusville and watch one from there.

Rocket Launch Video

I would like to obtain a video of the rocket launch. Does one exist and how could I get one?

mldonnella 04-25-2021 07:48 AM

The sky around it was awesome!

charlieo1126@gmail.com 04-25-2021 08:04 AM

When I lived in Orlando I would try to get over to see the launches , it can be frustrating because of cancellations but worth the trip especially the early morning ones Standing on the sand at Coca beach as the ship goes up and feeling the vibrations and hearing the sounds is quite an experience

avpoche 04-26-2021 06:57 AM

I agree; was spectacular! I try to watch as many as possible.
