Culver's?

Is it still drive thru only. And if it is can you get food in drive thru but eat at outside table?

Byte1 04-24-2021 01:59 PM

I was in there a couple weeks ago and they had all three; dine in, dine out and drive thru. I didn't know it had changed? When I was there, no tables were empty.

Yesterday, we drove thru and ate on the patio. Still closed inside due to no help.

Actually I think that is the routine.... we went to buy from the pre-pack freezer inside for take home. Sign said due to the shortage of employees in our area, they only have enough help to keep the drive through open. Some sat on their carts, but all patio tables filled and yes, definitely be polite and clean up for the next people, they do not have employees cleaning out there... and NO bathrooms, might keep that in mind when taking the grand kids for ice cream ! And NO napkins on the tables of course (guess it's a bring your own when it's outside dining ?) Luckily we always keep baby wipes in the golf cart... handy for many "emergencies :ohdear:

I noticed many of the patio tables in use. I do wish customers continue to understand short staffed also means those working are trying so hard to keep up the pace. I was surprised in a way that some customers felt the need to bring along Fido...something more to clean up after.
Love Culver’s....do hope they continue to keep it going strong.

Lack of help has changed plenty in America.. includes dining in.
Do the drive through take your meal to a local park ..
Remember to clean up after yourself..otherwise everywhere becomes a mess..

airdale2 04-25-2021 05:56 AM

My own outside dining packet which includes a table cloth.

We went through the drive-through last night. The line was fairly long but went pretty smoothly. People were sitting on the patio. We observed several folks who hadn't gotten the "memo" yet who parked and tried to go in but some left and some got in line. We will continue to support them. It's not the business owner's fault if they can't get workers.

We went to Culvers on Tuesday and ate on the patio, it would be nice to take to a park but not being familiar with the area where is the closest park? TIA

Oharet 04-25-2021 08:20 AM

Yes.. And yes.. Was there Friday night.

Padro 04-25-2021 08:23 AM

As of Thursday inside still closed. We went through drive through and parked and ate on the patio.

talktome 04-25-2021 08:36 AM

I agree. But then think about these companies like Culver , Mc McDonalds & Steak n shake too (still no inside eating). No inside eating also means cost effective for them and yet we are still supporting them with drive-thru orders only. In other words they are making a fortune! I sure do hope they open their doors soon as I do miss not eating at a table! It's just so much easier.

airdale2 04-25-2021 09:35 AM

NO restaurant is making a fortune, more like treading water hoping for better days.

PugMom 04-25-2021 10:51 AM

sadly, all of this is true. a few nights ago during the Hooligans i went into 5guys to get a soda. the poor guy behind the register was beyond frazzled,--no one showing up to work he says, pls be patient. if you see such a situation, pls tip heartily for the poor guys like him who do show up. it can make all the difference!

They are lowering the prices! Less help means more profit, so they are passing the savings to us consumers!

Does anyone remember the 50’s-60’s when you ordered at a counter and you received your takeout in a bag? There was no drive through to order. You just got on your bike and drove home. 🤣

I still prefer to walk inside to order, if allowed. Usually quicker and you save gas.

ctmurray 04-27-2021 01:43 PM

They are open inside for limited hours. They were open at noon today (Tuesday 4-27). I did not get all the hours, sorry.
