Where is this section of golf cart path?
Okay, my wife and I came here for our lifestyle visit in August of 2020 and in February we bought a home here in Spanish Springs. On that lifestyle week though, we drove our golf cart up from Brownwood to Spanish Springs just to see everything available.
We came across a stretch of golf cart path (maybe 200 yards or so) that was completely covered by trees overhead, almost like a trellis. it seems like it was maybe somewhere between 466A and 466. Not sure if it was Morse or Buena Vista. When my wife and I saw this stretch we both said, "Oh my gosh this place is beautiful!" (meaning all of The Villages). It COULD be north of 466. Because it was our first visit we didn't know the area at all back then. Yesterday was our 5th time out on a long trip where we also hoped to maybe stumble upon that area again-- with no luck. Does this beautiful stretch of golf cart path sound familiar to anyone? We would love to find it again! |
That sounds like the golf cart path between Laurel Manor Rec Center and Saddlebrook Rec Center - north of 466 & east of Buena Vista, parallel with Buena Vista.

It could be Buena Vista Blvd in the Sumter Landing area, near Stillwater Trail that you are looking for.

That is our favorite path, we call it The Tunnel of Love. We go through there often, every time we go to we go to Brownwood from up near Route 42.

I think it is the one of the most unique and picturesque in TV |
That’s my favorite section too!! It’s between Laurel Manor near Saddlebrook off of Buena Vista Blvd. You take Buena Vista to get there. Beautiful!!

We call it “Tunnel of Trees” right along Burns Vista as mentioned above. It is one of our favorite places on the golf cart paths.
|
It sounds like the cart path that runs beside Saddlebrook executive golf course on 466 and Buena Vista. I love it too. This link is a map of the golf courses. https://www.golfthevillages.com/imag...gesGolfMap.pdf.

Good grief, Admin. Please close this post. The question was long since answered

I second the person that said: it’s by Sumter Landing bt Stillwater with the beautiful multiple southern oaks. I could sit there and meditate without any problem
|
It’s definitely the golf cart path north of 466 along Saddle Brook parallel to Buena Vista. A local artist painted it with a cart driving along and It’s hanging in my friend’s dining room.

Go over to Laurel Manor rec center on your golf cart and find the path that goes under 466 - that will take you thru the tunnel of trees and you will end up coming out in Saddlebrook rec center. It's a bit tricky to find but ask others and they will direct you. There's a little golf cart roundabout near Laurel Manor if I remember correctly and it's not far from that. It truly is a beautiful path. And it's not real busy - I went thru there to go to the Alzheimers Walk at the Polo grounds a couple of months ago. Enjoy!

There is a 'square' of tree covered dirt paths between the Mulberry dog park and Belle Meade.

Definitely the path alongside Saddlebrook golf course.
I call it Sleepy Hollow |
Starts just before south bound or after the 466 tunnel north bound

Another area I discovered yesterday is Woodridge, behind Walmart, before you get to the driving range. Gorgeous old oaks towering over the road.

Cross under highway 466 at Laurel Manor rec center and when you come up from the tunnel you will be on that part of the golf cart trail. |
