Watched a lady (passenger) in a golf cart throw food wrappers into a sewer on the way by and then go to the Mail box for her mail with her friend. YOU are a litterbug.

Been seeing pear cores (or other fruit cores) placed on the tops of the poles entering/leaving modal paths. YOU are just a slob to be nice.

Both of these people are slobs littering in our community as well as any other that purposely litters. If I see you again (or any other ) I will follow you, take pictures of you and where you live, and post it on any and all social media sites I can for all to see so they will know what you are.

I live here, this is my community. Willing to bet most of us don't want any littering slobs here. So, for all that agree with me, keep an eye out and speak up about it.

For those whom are the slobs, leave. most of us don't want you here. If you want to live in a dumpy place, go there. Don't bring your bad habits here.

These are the "Elite" residents of TV, they are exempt from rules and regulations and you cannot hurt their feelings by posting photos as they would welcome the notoriety.

Pear cores thrown on the ground (on the grass, by the side of the road, etc) is no big deal. Put on top of a barrier at a golf path is absolutely slobbish and gross. Candy wrappers, plastic cups, unwanted mail - dropped on the ground, is equally gross. Even moreso considering there are trash bins scattered throughout the villages, if you are truly that selfish that you can't stand to dispose of your own unwanted stuff in your own garbage pail in your own house, you should at least find one of the public ones and toss your trash in them instead.

We have noticed much more fresh garbage thrown around the area around The Bridge coming over to the Historic Area. Buena Vista was heavily littered from 466 towards The Savanah today. What the hell is going on? Cut the Crap. If you ever litter in front of us I hope it's something tasty cause I'm gonna feed it to ya! We moved away from an area where littering was more acceptable. We love the way it was here before. Nice and clean. It is our home you know? Wake up!

They won’t welcome notoriety if they get fined and all their neighbors find out they are littering.

What is described sounds, unfortunately, like it was done by a resident. They need to stop being slobs and take some pride in their community. Maybe consider what TV would look like if all residents were slobs. Another concern I have is with the fast food wrapper and beverage container discards along the roads that I have been seeing lately. These I believe may be more the work of vendors, tradesmen or TV contract employees. Should be a way of reporting that when seen

Face masks discarded in parking lots just outside stores by slobs……and left there by store. At least have someone sweep them up (Winn-Dixie, Publix, etc)

Pear cores on poles, actually the birds can spot them better as food. But I'm sure that's not the reason people do that. Perhaps you need to talk to your CCD to put up a few songs that talk about the fines for littering and that there are cameras specifically to catch people even if there aren't kind of like the fake speed traps with empty police cars

Oh contraire. Socially stigmatizing a-holes can do wonders. Get enough people to say something (the right way) can and does affect behavior.

What I find most discussing are the little plastic bags full of dog poop thrown into the gutter or adjacent grass.

I personally have no problem with taking ones picture and posting anywhere I can, to get them the "notoriety" they apparently desire.

Better yet...if you witness a blatant littering, follow him/her home. Then later, deliver their trash, along with any other you can collect, to their front door.

For years I have made it my mission statement to pick up at least three pieces of litter every day. Ever since I moved to The Villages in 2004 I have added to that mission statement by repairing at least three ball marks on each green that I play.

Great suggestion. But better have a lawyer on retainer to deal with the charges of trespassing and vandalism, and a full bank account to pay for him and the hefty fines, assuming you don't get some jail time. And since over 1/2 of Villagers own a firearm, better duck as well. There must be a better way to deal with these pigs.

Are you sure about that? I believe the legal standard is "expectation of privacy". If you are photographed at a square, fair game (as long as you aren't selling the image). If you plant a spy cam in someone's bathroom, different story. And leaving a pear core on a post is littering.

People at the square do this too, leave their empty cups and water bottles laying all over, but in all fairness, they could be outsiders and not TV residents.

When you throw stuff in a storm drain it’s going to end up in the nearest lake.

Is it time that golf carts have a license plate or some type of identification?
If all golf carts were registered, and had identification, it would be easy to determine who was violating rules, speeding, littering, and many other issues.

Unfortunately, the SLOBS that do the littering probably don't read these threads.

Do you feel that way about requiring a drivers license to drive a car? Or a passport to enter the country? Or an ID in order to get a voter registration card? How about an ID for the Villages itself?

You need to prove identification and qualification for all kinds of things in life. If you have no problem with any of those things, then this is just another one to add to the mix.

If you do have a problem with those things, then I believe you'll probably be happier in a socialist society where no one cares who you are - you get what you get, and you don't get what you don't get, and everyone pitches in to provide, without concern for authorization.

Now play this scenario out-----every golf cart has an ID tag, so WHO enforces these rules. More LEOs patrolling the MMPs? Or do you suggest other Villagers "report" violators like the complaint driven deed compliance systems---yes, we could have an army of trolls with clipboards monitoring for every little real, or perceived violation of just about anything. Don't use a foul word----you could be reported. Don't spit out a mouthful of water----get reported. Don't be Jewish, or Muslim, or Republican/Democrat, you may get a number tattooed on your arm, just like the unvaccinated. And God forbid you go 20.1 mph., you will get shot at dawn

Cars are registered vehicles. What must you think of that? A golf cart moves at (in many cases) upwards of 20-25mph and can and has killed. If it hits you or another golf cart as happened to me, there is no way to identify or prove who it was when they take off even if the mall has a video. I know who hit my cart but they deny it and since I can't prove it it cost me big bucks. Yes officer, it was a blue Yamamama with some old guy in it. Comparing vaccine tatoos which is absurd and licensing a moving vehicle which can kill are not comparable.

We all tend to notice the bad. Truth, most people do not do that. It does not take many to mess things up for the rest.

The Villages are clean not because only clean, upstanding people live here but because we pay people to pick up after the pigs among us.

Speak up about it? We are so lucky that posters are themselves perfect-or think they are.

I was behind her in my golf cart. Called her out on it while they were driving away. They BOTH know for Shure it was seen . (not a quiet one obviously). If you read the post, it says so.

See, there is something for everyone at the villages.

Not sure how it evolved to this. We do have choices. Most all of them exist somewhere and we can see how they work. Remember a few years a go an American Student publicly whipped for STEALING a political poster? You can bet they do not have many people stealing. Do we want that?

Our country, our history is like a pendulum it swings one way and then the other. My view, the pendulum recently is swinging farther to each side. Right now far left.

For most of us, we write we think we are correct any anyone who does not agree with us
well they are deplorable. Many TO MANY, parrot what they are and claim they thunk it all by themselves.

Crime? Over history man has invented some interesting devices for a slow painful, torturous punishment, yet we still have crime.

Crime? For most of us if, I do it it is ok but if you do it, hum the rack should be brought back.
