No loss. She has but one facial expression. Can't hold a candle to the likes of James Spader. She will go on somewhere else eased by her looks.

Whoa. This just sounds like someone who doesn't like her family. James Spader is an excellent actor but Megan Boone had to have talent and moxie to get to that level and stay for so long.

THERE IS NOT A DAMNED THING WRONG WITH BEING PART OF A SUCCESSFUL FAMILY and I am so sick of people who are just plain jealous of others.

My sister-in-law hates James Spader so much she will not watch anything he is in. That is probably because he captures a persona of a villain so easily.

Megan Boone is a good actress. I doubt if Hollywood would give extra screen time and salary to a member of immediate family of the developers of the Villages. It is probably more of a negative. But families are very complicated and can have many different viewpoints among its members. And, of course, Hollywood contains many very different people with an extremely wide range of views.

Seems like she had less of a part the last few seasons but wonder how they will explain her leaving on the show?

A few years ago she was gone for a few months on the show always wondered why.

James Spader is an excellent actor and certainly he makes the show.

Couldn’t agree more. It is no loss. She was not in attendance for several episodes lately and until my wife pointed it out I really didn’t notice.

Her acting career will be determined by her I imagine because she does have some talent. She also probably has enough funds to last a lifetime without working again.

I think it’s nice that she is related to the higher powers of The Villages but I’m not clairvoyant yet so I didn’t gleen from your post that you don’t care for the developer. Sorry you got spanked for sharing your opinion my NJ brother or sister. That chip on your that I had at one point will leave you sooner or later.

People from other states have Chips on their shoulders also. Beware! At least we admit having the chip!

This was a good show at one time, but this last season had gone over the edge.

You are reading a lot into this post. The writer doesn’t like Megyn Boone, there was no mention of her family.

I think it’s great that Gary Morse’s granddaughter is a star, but I’ve never liked that character very much. I love the show, but that’s 90% due to James Spader, who is wonderful. I love his voice and his phrasing.

Talt, she apparently never watched Boston Legal....he was a lawyer and not a villain in that exceptional show.

Who is Megan Boone?

Was a great show until about the last year when it go really weird.

For anyone’s info, Megan worked hard and on her own to make her way in theatre, film and TV. She plays her role on Blacklist as written and directed … troubled, fearful, strong yet frightened … it is her character. And whether you support the Developer or not, this family has instilled a strong worth ethic in their children, grand children and now great grand children. Megan decided to leave the show and is probably looking to spread her wings into other roles/characters.

I only recently watched the pilot of The Blacklist. Now I’m hooked. Soon after watching that first episode I learned that Megan Boone was the granddaughter of The Villages founder. I think she’s a fabulous actor and is quite beautiful. I wish I didn’t read this because now I know she will eventually be gone. I’ve been binge watching and I am up to season 2, episode 3. With 8 seasons, I have my summer’s viewing all set. Love the show!

Jealousy and dislike for a family that has created a wonderful retirement for so many people is tragic. Speaks to their character or lack thereof.

Gracie please! This has nothing to do with the family. I love what the Morse family created here. Most retirement communities you have to go out of your surroundings for entertainment, restaurants, etc. It is Megan Boone the actress I take issue with. She is stiff and displays minimal expression. She is beautiful and IMHO that has eased her way through life. Your strong remark is presumptuous and uncalled for.

Having said all that I always look forward to reading your responses on this forum.

I had my doubts at first given the star power of Spader, but I feel she became an equal main character on the show. I’ll be looking for her next gig!

We use the term HATE to regularly. Perhaps,like the word awesome, it has been used
so much that it is meaningless noise. I make an effort to keep my HATE LIST empty
as it is now. That way when someone makes my list I can and do give them my full attention.

People,"think," they know these people. What they know or think they know is little or no reality.

As far as part of the Morse family, we do not chose the cards we are dealt we chose how we play them. We all know sometimes the difference between success and failure
is who you know not what you know.

Then I must reconsider my words. I haven't watched The Blacklist except for a time or two because I try to avoid intensely intense drama or I am up all night. I have no information to defend her except she grew up here and I so admire her mother Jennifer the few times I have got a glimpse of her on the developers yearly nights.

And I also am out of patience with people who seem to me to be jealous of successful business and taking risks that are very scary and managing to come out ahead and employ a lot of people and in so doing feed a lot of families. I am so sorry I lashed out. I hope you will give me another chance.

Megan Boone's Character, Elizabeth was killed. Even though you could figure it was going to happen it was still a shock truthfully.

I love this show. I'm sorry it had to end this way for her but she was an F.B.I. agent that went bad. How else could it have ended. The only one to feel sorry for is her T.V. Daughter.

I'm glad to see that fences were mended from previous posts in this thread. Bravo.

I hope the show returns next season. I hope a few people who left the scene come back. You could assume they were killed also but if you watch carefully there was no proof.

The only advantage she got from the family was that grandpa bankrolled her in Hollywood so she could go to lots of tryouts and she found her spot. She is a maverick in the family.

I believe the show ends tonight , that is why she is leaving.

This came out on the news yesterday…
EXCLUSIVE: Coming off an eight-season run on The Blacklist, series star Megan Boone is staying in business with the studio behind the long-running NBC drama series. Boone has launched a production company, Weird Sister, signing a first-look deal with Sony Pictures Television.

Under the pact, Boone will develop and produce new series projects for the indie TV studio. She is in the process of hiring a development executive.

Maybe she will create a situation comedy about a family that develops a retirement community.

I enjoyed the first maybe six seasons of Blacklist and then stopped watched except for occasionally.
